GHS239: This a good set that I found nothing wrong with. All the extensions work well. Someting that I didn't consider was that I need to use my indicator upside down and the weight of the longer extensions over powers the spring inside my indicator. But that's my problem not theirs.

Coltanaconda: I recently purchased these, and after receiving, tested them almost immediately. I will say I was a bit leery of them due to some of the review, but since they were older reviews, I was hoping the manufacturer had addressed the concerns voiced in the reviews.
The first concern I saw was that the female threads were not always as smooth as they should be. No problem, I ordered a 4-48 tap set to go with the rods. The first thing I did was to check a couple of the rods female threads with the bottoming tap. I found them not to be so much rough as just not cleaned out. Not a huge deal since I ordered the tap set.
Next I took a tip from my Fowler dial indicator and it screwed into each of the extensions, and held tight very nicely.
Then I screwed each of the rods into the same Fowler dial indicator. Here is where I ran into a couple of issues. 2 of the rods did not want to screw in very well. They would go in, but the threads have to be lined up just so, and it takes a bit of wiggling to get them to start properly. Under magnification, the lead thread on both of the rods is mashed a bit. leading to some binding. a bit of cleanup on the thread with some judicious...
