Rob Woodward: I loved this as a kid and bought it for my friends' kids (5 and 3). They loved it, too. It's definitely suitable for older kids.

M. Hall: This was one of my favorite books when I was a kid. So glad I get to share it with my son. The way you go through the book, reading through one way, flipping and getting a different perspective on the same images, is really special.

Gordon Wray: I work in a very busy school library and I've read this book to our primary classes for years - they love it - I love it. The visuals are amazing!

Nancy Schepers: The pictures and story are unique: a journey through town and country in black and white pictures and simple text. It works as an optical illusion that the children in my class loved. A very cleverly conceived book that works on many levels and can be enjoyed over and over.

teresa duran armengol: Es un libro de sencilla impresión, sólo blanco y negro, que se puede leer del derecho y del revés (con el libro boca arria o boca abajo), que resulta encantador para los niños y fascinante para los que saben de efectos de la imagen simétrica.

Lynne B.: Reading Round Trip by Ann Jonas to my high school literature students is an annual tradition. When I wish to teach students about different points of view, I can't think of a better introduction than the delightful picture book that can be read backwards and forwards, right side up and upside down. My jaded high school students, bored with required reading, "Ooo" and "Aww" over the simple children's book with its black and white illustrations. As I'm reading to them the trip home, they repeatedly request for me to turn the pictures upside down to see the different perspectives of the trip into the city. Of course, my students immediately see the point of the activity, but that's okay. We close the story telling with a discussion on how differing viewpoints can be equally beautiful and interesting, whether they are black or white, front or back, right side up or upside down.
