Amazon Customer: I was expecting more variety in that I wanted to see some regular clothes like she would wear at home. I wanted an explanation about the ever visible handbag and just more of why she preferred certain things.

Taylor's Mom: I have read many books on the Royal family, I love biographies and anything of interest about them, individually or collectively.
This book is absolutely delightful. I am enjoying every part of it. Angela Kelly writes beautifully about the clothing and both her working and personal relationship with The Queen. Angela writes in such an interesting and enriching way, drawing you into the wonderful world of fashion, fabric and all that goes with it during the process of making sure The Queen is always dressed properly and perfectly.
I would recommend this book to everyone, who like me, love the The Queen, now passed on to be with God, and her fashionable world involving how perfect and presentable The Queen is at all times.

Haglet: I bought this book because I wanted to read about the person or persons who have transformed the way that HM The Queen dresses. I was born in Coronation year, so HM has always "been there". However, I always thought that the clothes that she has worn until relatively recently, have been absolutely frightful. The Norman Hartnell clothes were never flattering, and it seemed such a shame as The Queen was and is a good looking woman. Between them, Angela Kelly and Stewart Parvin have facilitated the transition of HM from being dowdy looking to being a stylish lady. I love the way that her hats are now co ordinated with her dresses / coats - such a lovely touch. Unfortunately, the proof reader did not do a good enough job, in that it is stated that Ascot racecourse was founded by Queen Anne in 1871, when it was founded in 1711. There is also unnecessary repetition. I am sure that HM has found Miss Kelly a breath of fresh air amongst all the obsequiousness that surrounds her, and that she values her honest opinion, although when she refers to HM, she seems to be in awe of her. It must be hard work, working as Miss Kelly does, and I would think it incompatible with being married ( Miss...

Mr. P. James: This was only delivered late yesterday afternoon, but I ended up reading 63 pages of it in bed last night. It makes you just want to carry on. and I couldn't put it down. Angela Kelly writes from a unique perspective, having worked with the Queen for 25 years (and it is very much a case of "with" rather than "for") and as this has been written with Her Majesty's approval you can trust what is said. That's what makes it unique, as so many "royal experts" are writing books from outside the palace walls, based on hearsay, gossip and downright fabrication, whereas this is from a genuine "insider" and is written with warmth, affection and humour. It shows various sides of the Queen's character, her humour and wisdom, and of course there are dozens of fabulous photos - most previously unpublished. I love the unique jacket design too, with its layered look like a garment, which is so appropriate for the subject matter. I also loved Angela Kelly's previous book "Dressing the Queen" and this latest volume is equally as good. This one is much more personal, interweaving Angela's own family story and experiences, and you get a great sense of her strength from her Liverpudlian background. She...
