Anchor Hocking 2-Gallon Heritage Hill Glass Beverage Dispenser with Spigot - Perfect for Parties & Entertaining

TNod: Love Anchor Hocking glass ware. I've been buying their products since the 70's. They have an early American style, which I love. I'm so glad they didn't change that. I use this size for grinding wheat. It is tall enough to fit under my grain mill while grinding which helps keep all the flour going into the jar in stead of on the counter or floor. And it's a great size for storing flour. I don't care that it didn't have a seal, doesn't really need one. I cut a ring from a sheet of food grade silicon to lessen air infiltration which works great. Anchor Hocking products are always well made, at a great price, and exactly what I need. AND THEY ARE MADE IN THE United States. The jar was well packed and arrived undamaged. Very happy with my purchase.

Bethany BarrettBethany Barrett: This was much bigger than expected. For me that worked out great. The lid is heavy enough that it’s closed well but not air tight. This was perfect for dog treats. I personally hate having to rip off glass lids with plastic seals so I prefer this design. Perfect for me!

Amazon Customer: The price is right on par and it arrived in the proper amount of pieces. The only problem is that it doesn't have a cork seal as stated. I was able to use a rubber seal from a dog bowl to help with that though.

La La LaND: **UPDATE: 1 month into it and the spigot leaks a lot, mainly at the base. I've decided to get stainless steel after all - just need to carefully pick a good one and inspect it before installation (they tend to have metal debris and stains even before first use)**

It's exactly what I wanted size wise, glass lid instead of metal lid (which tend to rust), wide mouth so it's easy to pour water into it daily as we distill water at home, acrylic spigot instead of stainless steel (which, again sometimes rust). Not one flaw in the glass so it looks perfect on the counter. It came well packaged with the spigot already installed. I only needed to tighten it and done! Pours fast too. Highly recommend.

Just a Girl with Some Tools: I purchased this jar to hold dishwashing detergent on my countertop so that I didn’t have to stoop down to grab it from a lower cabinet (back injury). I didn’t want a tacky looking box on my counter, so I opted to decant it into this jar.

Be aware that this jar does not have a seal around the lid, so I would be hesitant to put any kind of pantry food items in it.

But that is what I wanted so that I can take the lid off with one hand, scoop some out, and replace the lid. Easy peasy.

Works great for my needs, and holds a large box of detergent (and then some). Thick glass, well made, good price, and trusted brand. Win!

JSJ: Its a really beautiful jar, great value for money and arrived well before the promised date which was a bonus. My only observation is that the lid which although sits well does not have suction so it is loose. For me this is not a problem as I am storing non perishable items.

Was finally contacted by customer support. I told them the condition of second unit and they apologized for condition. They said the only thing they could do is try one more time.

I received the 2 gallon dispenser today and in direct sunlight could not find any obvious flaws. My mom said it looks so much clearer than any other and she is 90.

It is a beautiful glass work. Worthy of:
"MADE IN USA".

I wrote review after a few days of use. Found defects in glass and contacted Oneida & Anchor Hocking. From Sept 2021 to Jan 14 or so tried to get a response and was eMailed they would send a replacement Jan 16, 2022, but I would have to wait 8 to 10 weeks. Never did receive anything after 80 or so days. Started eMails again. No response. Couple weeks latter an Anchor Hocking package was outside. No notice, tracking, nothing.

Opened package and replacement had really bad defects, much worse than first.

eMailed photos and have never received a response.

The original has never leaked in 6 months. My main concern are flaws like this in glass will usually break. Water after all is about 8.33lbs per gallon, or around...
