Anthony W Bailey: Haven't used them as trekking poles yet. But they work well for my purposes. I use them to prop up my heavily loaded touring bike rather than buy a "clickstand". I also use them to put up a tarp tent when bike touring. They have performed well. I am sure they will be fine as trekking poles as well.

john luka: no instructions came with it so took an hour to figure out how to make it stay together. Had to find it again on computer and still problems/ Hard to pull out the button that keeps it altogether. Plan to use it on an overseas trip.
