Lori: What a great story about life, love and family. The little details throughout the story made me want to go back immediately after I was finished and re-read this book. It is very well written and the way Amy Harmon was able to navigate through the characters and through time travel was outstanding. I love that she took the care to keep the story historically accurate with the timeline in the characters. Well done.

A V Miller: I completely enjoyed this book! I’ll definitely look for more books by Amy Harmon. I listen to the narration for most of the book while traveling. What a fantastic story. I love the history lesson and the fantasy will live on in my memory.

Linda Connally: Tears. The last emotion i felt as i closed the last page of this book. Then I opened it back up and read the last chapter again. Joy? Yes. All the feels and then some. Because this book moved from 2001 to 1921 and back again i had to concentrate which made it a slow go for me. I plodded thru and hope you will, too. After the first few chapters and some Yeats I couldn’t put it down. Read this book. You wont be sorry.

dgm: I have not enjoyed a book this much in a very long time! I love historical fiction but have never read a story from this time period. Surprising, since I’m from Irish descent. There were several points in the story where I thought it was ending. Once I even checked the percentage I had left. But the storyline continued…twists and turns, intertwining and overlapping! The fictional characters were as believable as the real. Strength, determination and most of all love defined the families. I didn’t want to put it down, but forced myself to, so I could make it last longer.

ramendra singh: An extremely well researched book which narrates the struggle for a new nation amidst it's incongruities. Passionately written with fantasy and history intertwined.

Gisele Greve: Romance maravilhoso. Ótimos exemplos de amor em família. Um círculo sem fim de responsabilidade e amor. Ótimo.

shabbyarora: Spellbinding.....Enchanting....Transporting !!
the wind and water know all the earth’s secrets. They’ve seen and heard all that has ever been said or done. And if you listen, they will tell you all the stories and sing every song. The stories of everyone who has ever lived.
FABULOUS story from the esteemed coffers of Harmon, excelling in narration, plot and impact. ALL her books are seeped in colourful emotions, she has a piece of her soul invested in each book. But this book goes a step further. Or should I say several steps backwards!!
This book's predominant emotion is HEARTACHE. For lost love, for the beloved country, for road back home. It's not just a simple love story between two people who meet like ships passing in the night of different eras, it's a deep connection that a person has with one's soil, roots that tether you to your heritage.
“Don’t let the history distract you from the people who lived it,”
It's not only historical, it's HISTORIC. Events we read about in yellowed pages are soaked crimson with blood, charred black with soot and disintegrating under water. Set against the backdrop of Irish uprising, the story is about deep love that...

TJ: I used to love thrillers, mystery, fast-paced page turners. The emotion I was looking for was purely thrill, the "Oh God, it was him?" sort of punch to the gut that makes you want to immediately tell someone about the oh-so-exciting experience, hoping your friend would share your enthusiasm.

I gave this book a try, looking for something a little more literature, perhaps to make me feel a wee bit intelligent, or educated than understanding fantastic crime stories. The story is a little complicated for me to explain and make sense, without spoiling it. And I'm afraid my bad writing skills would ruin the author's magnificent story and give you the wrong idea.
Yes, it has history in it, centering around Ireland and England, a human drama with romance which usually would have bored me to my core. Love stories? It's 90% a Romeo-Juliet framework, people fall in love and one of them has to fall ill or encounter a fatal accident, all too many tears shed with talks of true love, sometimes smartly veiled with sweet but not-too sugary dialogue and sentences. I know what's coming, and the characters often tasteless; Twilight movies were a complete no-no for me, as well as Asian...
