Amrita 8oz Dried Apples, Diced for Convenient Snacking

Rosita: I thought these were freeze dried buy they are dehydrated which doesn't retain vitamins and such; looses 85% in the process whereas, freeze dried locks it all in. I've been storing up freeze dried food for the days of famine. These I will eat now in oatmeal or make apple bread, etc. A very good value for the size. Shipping was fast.

Gus Smedstad: These are kind of bland, not tangy at all. They don't taste bad, they're just not very interesting.

I thought the tiny diced format would be convenient, but it's not. Most dried fruit you can hold between finger and thumb while you bite off chunks. The tiny cubes you have to cup in your hand, and then cram your palm against your mouth lest any of the little bits escape. This is clumsier than it sounds.

I'd much rather have dried apple rings, preferably from an apple variety with a sharp flavor.

Grammi26: These are soft and chewy - since we prefer them crunchy, I put them in the oven on a tray at a low heat, and dry them for several additional hours. We love them mixed with roasted almonds - they go into our sack lunches for a yummy and nutritious treat! I have ordered them twice, and will do so again. Comparing to apple snacks found in the grocery stores, these are a much better price, taste wonderful, and the entire family loves them.
