Bhud: Just what we were looking for under our expresso machine. Our counters are predominently white with some black mixed in so seeing grounds can get tricky. This mat helps with that clean up and great area to lay out everything you need.

Underdog: This is the third mat that I have purchased. One for the coffee maker, one for the espresso machine. Coffee maker decided to leak one morning. This mat absorbed almost a tank of water. Without the mat catching the water it would have been all over my counter and floor. Dried quickly also. Amazing! I would definitely recommend buying this. Works great just as they say!

T.M.RizT.M.Riz: Needed a way to keep my "coffee station" clean and quiet because I don't care for the clink of glass and metal early in the AM....the pad is about 1/4" thick, and keeps things muted. The material soaks up coffee fast - faster than I can reach for the sink sponge. The pattern works for me in my kitchen, as I was looking for something other than a solid color. Can't tell how durable the mat will be - it has been OK for the three months I've owned it.

STW: PRO: Have used the pads for 6 weeks now under a drain board and as a base for my espresso making. If they're just absorbing rinse water that drips off your rinsed dishes drying in a rack, then the water seems to disappear quickly without a trace. They seem to make coffee drips disappear too.

CON: they are a bit undersized. Actual 23"x15.75" for the two 24x16 pads I have, and actual 31"x16.75" for the 31.5x16 one.

As drain pad: I don't know if the water absorbs into the surface or just evaporates quickly. If I lift it up to check the bottom, the pad does not seem wet or sodden underneath where it's absorbed dripped water. I live in a dry climate and water evaporates relatively quickly here. But when I was using a regular silicon rubber drain pad (also dark grey), every bit of drained water seemed to leave stains, brown puddles, and looked bad--I had to clean a silicon pad constantly to keep it looking clean. This drain pad looks new and clean after 6 weeks, with no maintenance or wiping up. Fabric/cloth drain pads also stain, and they can mildew and need to be laundered, but the stains remain. This AMOAMI pad has none of those problems.

TdotTdot: Looks sleek and really easy to clean. It’s not 100% black but more on the grey/black side. I wish I opted for the bigger size to cover the whole area, but I still really like it and glad I purchased it.
