BikerBiker: Combs are Very Durable and Well Labeled
You must exercise EXTREME PATIENCE WHEN PERFORMING THIS PROCEDURE!
This was my First Attempt at this and the damage caused by shipping to my A/C condenser was somewhat extensive, however I received a 50% discount from HD on the unit as it took 5 orders and 3 months to get 1 that was useable. I figured since they gave me the factory warranty because the unit only had cosmetic damage the price of the comb kit was worth the try. Glad I did it! I’m still amazed how well it turned out! Took me about a hour and a half to do this but WELL WORTH IT!
The comb kit has many different spacing sizes so you must start out by identifying your fin spacing on your unit. After you have identified the correct spacing and comb it is easily removed from the storage ring.
WELL DONE IMO!

Mary Ubach: None of the combs fit the gaps in my RV air conditioner. Also, the teeth of the combs are not straight, which would make it very difficult to use if they would fit. I ended up using an old toothbrush with the bristles cut short, it worked very well. Save your money and aggravation.

MikeMike: Does an okay job separating fins that are lightly folded-over, but it's not a magical straightener. I'd say this is effective at making fins usable, but not necessarily pretty, at least on the aluminum fins I tried to straighten. This might work better on something stiffer (copper / steel), but overall I was able to straighten aluminum fins about 20X-faster than using a pick. It actually did a fairly decent job as a comb on fins that were only lightly-bent.
