To all, don’t discard your old part until the new one is installed.

Mickey Stubley: Would be nice ice to have o-ring seals for spout with unit as a suggestion when ordering

don: I bought both balancer and cartridge M952100-0070A & 023529-0070A trying not to do it again as I was not very sure which one caused no enough hot water. It works well. I think it's pricy though.
Some said to put a little plumbing paste on the rubber seals, I saw it's not necessary as I took both in parts and saw the structures. Properly clean the inside valve chamber is very important.
I could be wrong.

Carl W: I wasn't sure of the AS model that I had and the ads are a bit confusing... seems there are 3 or so 47mm cartridges by AS and I couldn't find a good definitive site with repair AND technical difference explanations... through a process of elimination I concluded that one was for a bathroom faucet, a second was for a shower head valve that is thin enough to have "back-to-back" bathtub/shower valves in a standard wall and the third was therefore for the kitchen faucet... I was still hesitant and did more searching, to no avail, before ordering. Let me tell you that I searched in my local town and three sources did not have the valve, either AS brand or after-market... they could order one but being Thanksgiving week it wouldn't come in till the following week. Online prices varied from $10 to $25, and the shipping varied inversely (the cheaper the valve the more the shipping) I chose the $14... regular postage was about $10 and 3-5 days... but then I'm thinking... if I drove 40 miles each way ($12 gas) and 3-4 hrs of my time, I MIGHT get one tomorrow... might!!!! If they have it... I looked at the shipping options and "have it by 8pm tomorrow night" was $18... made sense to me......

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: Purchased this along with the balancing cartridge to fix a leaking tub faucet. The leak has been fixed and everything is working as expected. I took a couple pictures but I didn't take any after completing the install.
Highly recommended!
