Darsmom: I read reviews that said they were smaller than they used to be but never ordered them before so don’t know. My 50 lb, 10 year old pup says the size is perfect. He gets a couple a week so I store them in the freezer and take out about 4 at a time. He goes thru one in about 5 minutes and that is also ok with me.

MWalker: I don't know what I was thinking when I ordered these for my Shepherds. They're quite small. Then I reminded myself, "they're LAMB ears, doof!" My dogs love them, but they're eaten in about 2 minutes.

Ronald Patrice: So, I personally feel as though these ears are much too small for any dog over 40 lbs. Some ears are less than 4"x1", and others might be 6"x1.5". Also, my dogs (75lbs boxer mix and a 65lbs shepherd mix) go through an ear in under 10 minutes - sometimes less than 5.
With that in mind, the dogs, especially the shepherd, LOVE them. I've offered previously loved cow ears that are now flat out rejected because they know I've got a bag of lamb ears in the same closet. The shepherd, who is normally nonchalant about treats and chews, has taken to pestering me non-stop and all-day. She's literally grabbed my shirt and started tugging to get my attention (not good behavior, and never before seen from her at all). Once I'm up, both dogs dash for the pantry where the lamb ears are kept and literally start drooling.
As obnoxious and annoying as they've become, I'll admit, I will keep buying these in bulk. They are just so thrilled, and enjoy them so much. And the price is quite reasonable when compared to other bulk ears and the dogs' affinity for them. No leftovers here...ever.
