A guy who bought a pair of these boots:
Good for lap resonator guitar. Works much better than a cylinder style guitar slide. Easy to hold, etc. Feels sturdy and won't break without smashing it with a hammer. Which you probably wouldn't want to do anyway.

As has been referenced in other reviews, the edges on the slide bar need smoothing / finishing. After a little work on the corners and edges with a piece of emery cloth, they are now nice and smooth and the bar is comfortable to hold with out irritating my fingers. The inconvenience of having to smooth the edges, is more than offset by the price differential of this bar versus a Shubb, costing 2 times more. If cost is no object, buy the Shubb. If you don't mind a little "custom" work, the Alnicov tone bar can made to be the equal of the Shubb bar.

This is a nice size and good weight for me, I am a beginner and was a little worried about that, but it works very well for me. The finish is smooth and bright, it looks good, works as it should and I will order a spare, as I tend to forget where I leave things sometimes.

This bar has good weight and size. It fits my hand more comfortably than a stevens. It's a bit taller than a stevens and without straight edges. One edge is rounded the other is angled for pull offs. I recently purchased several costly bars. I was looking for one that was heavier than the 4.4 oz bar I was using. I seem to be on an endless quest to add greater volume to my playing and thought a heavier bar would help. I added this to my order because it was so inexpensive. The spec for the bar didn't include weight, however, it feels like it's in the 5.0-5.5 range. It is now my "go to" bar. These bars are so inexpensive you can buy extra for your case(s) or as a just-in-case bar that you keep in your car.
