gingersnapbiscuit: Timer seems to mostly work, but the numbers are misaligned on the one I received, so the finish position is at about -1 minute, and time tests vs. my phone reflect that (e.g. setting the timer for ~5 minutes runs for 5.50 instead). Personally, I can't be bothered to return it for this issue, since the offset start is a visual reminder every time I set it to deduct ~1 minute from the marked time in order for it to run for my actual desired time. But it's annoying and makes the timer look cheap and janky at rest (if you look closely).

The plastic on the knob also looks disappointingly cheap, and I worry about wear from fingerprints given the material. The number area looks good, however, and the magnet is strong, giving me absolutely no concerns about it falling off a swinging fridge door. Attaches nice and solidly. Absolutely love the design concept (no batteries, blends in visually with silver-grey fridge) and hope it will last for a long time given that it's mechanical and not electronic, although I'll have to wait and see.

Allison: This timer is exactly what it purports to be, an inexpensive wind-up mechanical 1 hour timer. It works. It keeps good time. The alarm is plenty loud enough if you have it near you and it's lightweight and easy to carry so no reason not to keep it near you. The magnetic back works but it's not very strong. You'll want a steel surface large enough for the whole unit to grab onto before you can depend on it sticking, wire kitchen racks don't offer enough surface. And don't put it in your pocket. Resistance from the fabric or something slows the timer down. Set it nearby and you'll be happy with it.

B. Lerner: This is a really nice looking, easy-to-use timer. My main complaint is that the ringer is pretty quiet. From my home office to the kitchen, I can hear it, but I'm expecting it; if I was in another room & someone else put it on, I might not recognize it as an actionable thing.

KNelson: It's well constructed, very accurate for a wind up timer, and the magnet clings surprisingly well. I keep it near the top of my fridge so I can slide it up to remove it because it takes a bit of effort to pry it off. The magnet clings well enough that I don't have to take it down to wind it up.

Just remember to read the instructions closely. You go past the time you want and then turn it back to the time you want. The instructions are wonderfully clear with illustrations, but not everyone looks at those.

Bob CBob C: The timer on our stove is awkward to get at so I mounted it on the cupboard door above the exhaust fan. My wife bakes a lot, like almost every day and uses the timer constantly. Both our eyes are not what they used to be so I put a dab of nail polish on the pointer, works great.
