jess: I'm so glad I waited to buy this kind of house until ones with insulation were available. This is perfect for the stray kittens who now live on my porch.
I bought 2 outdoor heating pads, 1 for each floor, and it's the perfect size for the 3 growing kittens. They're getting big, so the smaller house I had for them just wouldn't fit them all anymore. Now, with the insulation and heating pads, they're nice and warm! I moved my ring camera down so that I could watch the kittens, so I can see that they're all sleeping in it.
My son put it together for me, it didn't take him long at all, not much more than half an hour. I held 1 part while he attached another piece, but that was all the help he needed.
It pains me to pay shipping, so that part was annoying, but the house is working out really well, so I can't be too upset.

Donald CaluoriDonald Caluori: Is a nice little outdoor cat house. Goes together quickly, one person. I live in New England and it will need some insulation and draft protection done. I used some of the packing Styrofoam to insulate the bottom. For the summer some ventilation will be required.

Amazon Customer: So I read several reviews before buying, and was kind of skeptical. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the assembly was, and how well it has held up through the summer storms.

There were maybe like 3 slight nicks in the wood, but that is to be expected, and it in no way affected the appearance or sturdiness of the structure. The instructions were very clear, and the pieces were clearly labeled. I (30f) was able to put everything together by myself in about and hour, up until the very end when I had to attach the roof by its hinges. Someone will have to hold it while some else puts the screws in. Although it can be done with a regular screw driver, a battery powered one would make the process much quicker.

I think I remember reading a review that said the predrilled holes didn’t line up, but I didn’t have an issue with that. Some holes aren’t predrilled, so maybe that’s what they meant, but that’s the way it’s supposed to be.

Another review said the bottom floor wasn’t sturdy, but it absolutely is. It’s in two different pieces, but if you put it together the way the directions say, the floor is perfectly fine. My...

LindaLinda: Truly a piece of cake to assemble. I think I pushed one caster wheel in too far because I cracked the wood on one, nothing that a little Gorilla Glue couldn't fix. I house many feral cats, and I think they will be happy with the two new additions. The first one I purchased last year, the bottom step broke off, but it doesn't keep the cats from using it. I ordered Furrbaby pet pads for both levels in all 3 of them. Definitely happy with my purchase.

J. Gardner: It's easy to assemble, though I suggest adding wood glue to the joints, otherwise it's a bit shaky. The wood is soft and thin, especially the roof. If this house will be out in the weather, you'll want to do some additional weatherproofing, and maybe even build a base to get the house off the ground away from splashing rain. The swinging door is cute, though my cats don't like it. I'll probably ditch the door and hang a piece of canvas or cotton towel in each opening, which will be better for cold weather anyway. I left the ramp out, since only the smallest of kittens would need it. All in all, it's a decent value, looks nice, and makes good use of space.
