Bruce E.: This product is made of basically what I would call parachute nylon. I took it on two beach trips this summer and didn’t find it helpful. (1) Even with the stakes it can blow away very easily in the wind. (2) If you have sunscreen on any part of your body the nylon will stick to you then leave a nasty white gummy substance in the nylon. (3) It get very hot when in direct sunlight…no relief from hot sand. (4) while the description indicates sand won’t stick, it should say DRY sand won’t stick. Wet sand will stick. However it did clean easily when run through the washing machine. It is also very lightweight and compact. It fits nicely in the bag that it comes in. It probably would be best for use on a shady lawn with no wind.

oberz3: This is a super thin tarp-like cover that I do not believe would hold up as a tablecloth much less a beach blanket. Would not purchase again and would not recommend.
