Lary: I bought this one sometime ago in case I needed it. Yesterday I used it because I thought there was some Gas Odor. It seems like we had a leak in our crawling space under the kitchen. works pretty well.

Desiree: Saved my family's life. Glad I purchased it! Our contract was incompetent so I brought this for Peace of mind. Had a HUGE gas leave coming from stove and carbon monoxide coming from hot water heater. Opened up windows put on fan , unplugged alarm it's loud! & called our gas company to correct it. I will say I had it plugged in, in a different part of the kitchen and it didn't beep. I moved it and plugged it in upside down because I need tobuse the 2nd socket in the outlet and that's when It started to work. I would suggest plugging this in close to the ground or upside down so it can pick up the gas sooner

Jonathan B.: It is about 1.5 feet from the stove. If we bump a handle on and gas escapes, it doesn't pick it up. I may call the company to see if it's designed to withstand high heat, so I may mount it right on the wall directly between the microwave and stove
