T. Mitchell: It’s made of plastic. The handle/pick is awkward to hold and could possibly break off when using the tool vigorously. It coils short hair well but not so great with length. It works best when my hair is very wet and held by the “racket”. It doesn’t snatch hair like sponges I have used in the past.

MizLady: So... I ordered two of this product. Meant to only order one. My son has the metal version, wanted to try the plastic. MISTAKE! He tried for 20 minutes, following the instructions perfectly, and it barely twisted his curls. So of course I tried too. NOPE! no twisting of curls to be had so I attempted to return the unused one. Instead of giving me a refund... they sent me two more. Now I have four of these and they dont work. I am going to physically return these to a drop off location and if I get more I’m giving up on Amazon all together.
