DeeMee: Had to move lots of furniture from a relative's house. These were very useful. They aren't super thick or sturdy,but the price was right. They'll do the job. A couple had some threads start to unravel after being used several times. Maybe from flapping vigorously in the wind on a trailer for 15 miles. Most didn't do this.

I chose the blue ones which are blue on one side and black on the other. I suggest you do too. Folding these up and such the two sides being different color is very handy will folding them to put away, and knowing which side is wrapped around which on furniture.

Cindy L: Our order was late by a day so that was inconvenient which is why I gave it 1 less star. It did arrive the next day in time for our move but we had to rush to pack everything in our Pod. Now for the product itself, I did not smell any gasoline smell at all as mentioned by other users. Maybe they rectified it since that review. The blanks are great for wrapping sofas and tables. We also used it for mirrors, large decorations etc. It turned out to be so much easier than using cling wraps. Definitely a must have for moving and I suggest ordering it well ahead of time to avoid any delay. And you will need large rubber bands, strings or masking tape which is what we used to keep it wrapped. I actually prefer it not too thick as we did buy thick blankets from Home Depot n it was too heavy for some items. The thickness adds weight when wrapped. With this blankets, you can use 2 when needed. It gives u more flexibility.

Ben P: Great overall deal. Despite their shortcomings, I would certainly purchase them again if I needed additional, lightweight moving blankets.

They arrived in a tightly strapped bundle that was encased in a plastic bag and then additionally strapped in a plastic, tarp-like sack. The blankets all had a slight mildew / mechanic shop smell to them once I got them unstrapped. I had to drape them over my fence outside in the sun for a day to mitigate (not completely remove) the smell. They're a little thin and will quickly tear or rub through if snagged or dragged any amount of distance. That said, they kept an entire pick-up truck load of stuff safe from rubbing damage during a 1,000+ mile journey.

So... they're not the best. But, they're not being sold as such.

Andrew J: Awesome! I purchased these for a cross country move where my belongings were going to be packed into a container and shipped on the back of a truck for 1700 miles. If anyone has used one of these services, you know that it's very easy to get your things there in one piece, but you need to pack them VERY well. I used a layer of these blankets on the bottom of the container to provide a little padding and still had more than enough to sufficiently wrap up what ended up being about a 1 bedroom apartment's worth of stuff.

These are not the thickest blankets on the market, but they are very large and can be easily folded in half to double them up. Everything I wrapped up came out without a single scratch. A few of the blankets showed a little wear and a tear or two after everything was done, but all of them are still reusable for several more moves. In fact, prior to my using them, I let a friend borrow them for their move, so they've done two moves so far and all but maybe one or two are still in basically new condition.

After your move, either store them for the next time, or find creative uses for them such as black out window shades for extra rooms.

Amanda B.: The best part of these moving blankets is that there are 12 and they're cheap. We restore furniture and often move large pieces of furniture that need to be protected. These are things but there are 12 of them so you can double them up and get the same effect as the thicker ones. They are just as big as all of the other ones so that is a non issue. The reason I gave this 4 stars is that they are pretty thin. They will protect from scratches but if you don't double them you could get dings. They are very well made though with good stitching so I do not anticipate them falling apart or threads coming out. I would recommend this set to anyone that moves stuff on a regular basis but if you have some high end furniture for a big move I would get some thicker ones. I suppose you could get these with the mindset that there are 6 and simply double them up all the time. Give them a shot and I'll think you'd like them.
