Amazon Customer: The Aeotec Hub receives an internet signal from in-home router and translates that signal into Bluetooth commands for an external device that powers a roof-installed, heat tape (cable) system. Heat tape along the roof edge and inside gutters prevents ice-dam formation under eaves of a home from repeated melt and freeze cycles that could eventually penetrate the home interior as damaging water intrusion.
This Hub device is an essential component of many integrated, remote-controlled, internet-based systems. The current product works as advertised and, to date, has been operationally reliable and effective during winter snow events. Icicle formations are minimized and melted snow along roof edges directs water into gutter downspouts for distribution away from the house.

John: Pretty easy to add to the hub and set up actions. I set up different actions for the 3 different presses you can do (single, double, and long press).

Alexander Offermann: We installed a hot water recirculating pump in our house that only runs when we turn it on (so it doesn't waste heat, but we have hot water in our master bathroom, which is far away from the water heater, when we want it, err, at least within about two minutes of when we want it), and most of the time we turn it on via Alexa, but if one of us gets up early before the other, we wanted a way to silently but remotely turn on the pump too. This button solves that. It just sits in one of our bathroom drawers, and you simply open the drawer, hit the button, and a few minutes later we have instant hot water as soon as we turn on the faucet. So far, it is has worked flawlessly, and it was easy to setup.

Jorge: Me encanta. Es compatible con Smartthings y alexa. Puedes configurar tres tipos de Clicks, cada uno para asignarlo a un dispositivo, rutina o escena que tengas configurado. El botón cuenta con un sensor de temperatura. Muy recomendable!

skotkoskotko: First, the battery called out in the product description, CR2, is NOT accurate. The button uses a CR2450 (see photo attached of my delivered unit). I expect this is a typo and not a change in the design (based on the size of the button and difficulty of fitting a CR2 into this form factor). Not sure if I missed this somewhere in another review or not.
Second, this button works very well. It has a nice positive feedback feel when pressed. It paired very easily with the Smartthings hub. The process had quite a number of steps, but none were difficult. I wish this was z-wave so it would mesh with the other z-wave devices I have, but it seems to have good range and works all around the ~3000 sq ft, 2 story house, including the attached garage.
The use case: I use it on an end table in our living room as a way to adjust a set of lights (by setting a scene), toggle power on our kitchen lights (which are frequently left on by accident while we are in the other room) and turning off all of a group's lights (again, by setting another scene). This is much quicker than getting my phone out, opening ST app, finding the favorite and running it. It is also faster than asking Alexa...

William T.: I use this to trigger a routine to shut my house down with one press and turn the kitchen lights in with 2 clicks.
Works great and adding it to Smartthings hub was easy. Recommended!
