RazorEdge: Something different, a story well thought out. You might find it here, give this one a try. I think you will enjoy it.

Bernhard:

Grigory Nudelman: Unexpected in every way, this book surprises with its unusual narrative and ultimately human message of hope. Diverting and fun.Well done.

Edwin Mathias:
Who would have thought that a tale featuring two protagonists doomed to never fully understand each other, could be so satisfying?!
Definitely worth a read.

Pibbsworth Zwischenlanken: This is a beautiful, heart-wrenching fairy tale told from two viewpoints: an abandoned wizard / anthropologist; and an impetuous princess / savior.

MHHC: Not a long book. Interesting. Sort of a sketch. Late human on an outpost with the natives. Science vs magic. Then along comes Oblivion from Elder Scrolls. Hah. Wish the book was longer and more revealing. So not a complaint, just left me wanting more. Of something. But very good as far as it went.

Kindle Customer: I loved this book from start to finish. It mixes the best bits of futuristic sci-fi technology set against the backdrop of a medieval world. The clever juxtaposition of language between these 2 world's says a lot about what we learn and understand over time.

Customer o Kindle: I'm brand new to Tchaikovsky and I can see why he is so well-loved! Elder Race creates an interesting, well thought-out world with just enough detail. The pacing, plot, and narrative are super polished. The difficulty of communications across a Sci-Fi to Phantasy gap is an interesting wrinkle and I like how it is handled. The characters are more sketches than fully realized personalities, but overall the book left me wanting more, so fair enough. I appreciated the story's lack of a torturous romance, and even more so the lack of gratititous cruelty that many quest tales seem to lean on. I can live with ONE reformed thief missing a few fingers if cutting and beating each other doesn't define the whole breeches-wearing post-tech culture in a lazy shortcut. No Leering Landlords, hooray! I will certainly be reading more from this highly accomplished and respected writer, and it looks like I will have plenty to discover.

Mark Thompson: Interesting and fun read, with a different perspective and approach to an otherwise familiar story line. Well worth your time
