We hope to lower our electricity bill by Yang this rather than turning on the furnace. There are many color options, dimmer switch with 15 adjustments and 5 heat settings. If you are in the market, I would recommend buying this item or the next size up. This size fit perfectly in our fire place opening.

Tara D.: This is now the centerpiece of our basement remodel and our only source of heat. Very happy with look and quality. A contractor installed in the wall for us. He had to frame out a box to set it into. To be expected, we planned on this. Electrician recommended installing its own line with a breaker because using the heat does pull a lot of voltage. Blower for heat is very quiet. We have about 1000 Sq. Ft area to heat and if I put it on about an hour before going downstairs it is cozy even in 20 degree outside weather. Sure beats the $7k we were quoted for a ductless mini-split! At this rate I could run the fireplace all winter for 5+ yrs before my electric bill would even approach that price. Flame adjustment and choices are excellent. A lot of features for the price and we have been using it nonstop for 3 months with no issues. Very soothing flame effect and remote works fine, as long as you are within 5ft of the unit.
