SunshineSunshine: I purchased four boxes for my projects and it was the perfect amount. These are very easy to install! I just used liquid nails and I cut the pieces with a table saw. It is difficult to cut around switches and outlets but doable if you are careful. We ended up using backsplash in those areas instead. We used this behind our bar which the wall is about 14 feet wide and 8 foot high. We also did an accent at the bottom of the basement stairs 4x8. We did not caulk between the tiles. I think it looks fine as is. I spray painted each tile behind the bar with a metallic silver and sponged the tiles in the hall. I would most certainly buy these again!!

Patrick G.Patrick G.: We had an accent wall at our airbnb, that was covered in brick wallpaper. It needed some modern updating and I came across these on Amazon as a solution.

It took me about 2 days on and off to install them. I went with the plant based tiles, and while I like them, if I had it to do over I would go with the pvc option. The plant based tiles have a very comfortable finish, it really looks nice, and matte. They are basically a very nice, hefty cardboard, and I can see them taking stains and damage easier than the pvc option. With the plant based tiles too, I would be very careful about painting them, a light coat of paint or primer before hand, is probably a good recommendation. I can see them soaking up a ton of paint, becoming heavy, and not sticking to the wall. I used a contact cement and it worked well for sticking the tiles to the wall.

Things that I did not think through that I should have before installation. You are going to want caulk between the tiles, even if you run them very close. You also want flexible caulk that is not going to crack. Have a good solution for cutting the tiles. I thought I could use wood saw and jig, but it did not give a clean cut like...

Jao RyanJao Ryan: I spent a lot of time looking at different wall panel decorations for my project. This plant fiber paneling was great, especially for this low price! Much lighter weight than pvc, so it was easier to handle. I liked the flat sheen of this vs. pvc, so I was able to paint with paint brush instead of spray paint, but spray paint would have worked fine too I'm sure. I used gorilla spray adhesive to stick to the wall, then caulk between the edges.

A few things to note: One, It does take a long time to install. With adding the spray adhesive, lining each panel up, caulking and painting. Second, these are like a thick, hard cardboard. Good quality but they will get damaged, especially the corners, if handled too rough. Good thing I had a few panels to spare to experiment with. Third, after a few days after I finished, there is some movement with the panel touch each other, so you can see the panel edges separating a bit. I fixed it by reapplying caulk, and then painting again. All in all, I'm very happy with the results!

Isabel kallonIsabel kallon: I can only give 3 stars because I don't know how I actually feel about the product. I don't know why it didn't dawn on me that plant based meant paper, so I'm kinda kicking myself on not getting the pvc version instead. Anyways, I just dont feel like going through the whole return process and reordering. Visually I like the look but the plant based/ paper material I'm not impressed. So to protect against damage I need to buy a protective sealing coating or so, but I am concerned about warping. I may come back and write another review to see how it holds up after some time.
Ok so a year later it's still holding up. And the paper material is more like a hard cardboard (I realized i didnt properly specify in my original review). I did notice slight peeling on the corners when i was checking the durability, but it's not noticeable unless the panels are pulled off. I still would have preferred the pvc for longevity. Which im sure the plant based would last a long time in the proper location away from high traffic areas in your home. I have it located in an area where it won't come in contact with water. But I do have kids who like to touch walls with messy hands. So if you get the...
