Bill T.: No remote with this installation. Fan moves copious amounts of air SILENTLY without wobble. Lighting fixture adequately illuminates bedroom. What else would you expect from Hunter?

Paul Marceau: This is a well made fan and relatively easy to install, but it isn't bronze at all. I've ordered bronze fixtures in the past and at least there was some semblance of a metallic finish. This fan is dark olive drab. It looks like something that belongs in a military base. When I look up, I generally see the fan blades and the glass shades, so I don't mind so much, but this is an olive drab fan!

Danny Lepine: the only thing that was not as expected was the rod, it was too small, but since the pipe tread was compatible with standard brass pipe I manage to make it longer, I was happy that there was a long wiring so it was all good , it work perfectly I am very happy of it, didn't take too long to install and to adjust, and it look great ! thanks

halnwheels: I purchased this fan to replace the bedroom ceiling fan we had for 37 years. The mounting bracket is superior and has rubber foot pads that are pulled onto the ceiling by the circuit box mounting screw. The most tedious part of assembly is installing the 15 damping grommets into the holes of the blades. The antique light-bronze finish is very pleasing. The shape of the squarish blade tips are very plain compared to the one we had before. The four frosted glass globes have no appeal at all, so I used the open flower shaped globes from my old fan. I did like the heavy weighted pull chains for the switches, but the slot in the pull chain joiners had to be spread apart before they could be used. There was an extra cover that looked like it could only be used to eliminate the light kit, but this piece was not covered in the instructions, and you can't eliminate the light kit because the fan switch is in there. As another reviewer mentioned, the five additional screws for the blade-arms were in a bag not referenced in the instructions. Overall the instructions were not written well, but the house wiring guide was very well done. I'm impressed with the bearings on this fan and it runs...

Marie R: Bought this fan and separate Hunter remote in time for heat wave. I had electrician install in primary bedroom and it works fantastic. I ran it practically day and night for months when it was unbearably hot. Thanks to this fan I was able to sleep. Love the bright light for when I’m cleaning my room.

The light level is wonderful, especially compared to the very dim light the original had.
I didn't want the hassle of a remote so I got a wall fan switch that has three speeds (plus off) and a regular rocker for the light. It's great--we don't have to deal with long pull cords or wondering where the heck the remote went. Against instructions, this fan is installed at about 11' because of the way the ceiling slopes and it's the perfect height for our situation.
We had to get a longer down rod; I'd hoped we could reuse the original one but it was a different size (diameter) then the new fan could use.
Overall this took me a couple of hours, some of which was going up and down the ladder. The instructions are very good on this fan, especially compared to previous ones I've installed.
While I wouldn't call the installation pleasant, this was by far the best one I've done.
We're very pleased with this fan!
