ThatMomLadyThatMomLady: I was looking for a heavy duty good quality wreath hanger for my front door. I had tried over the door hangers, but those have messed up the paint on the detailing around the window of the door. However, living in a year round very warm, muggy climate means that the other suction cups i have tried have fallen off. This suction cup has worked great! It has been through some windy, rainy and very muggy days and has not fallen off yet. I will point out that the wreath itself is not super heavy, but heavy enough that other hooks have not worked. Also, you can't even see it under the wreath. I will update if I have any issues, but so far this has been exactly what I needed.

Edit 11-26-18: This holder has still been working really well. I have switched from the lighter wreath to the heavier Christmas wreath and so far I have had no issues. It was really easy to switch the two wreaths. I was able to remove the one wreath with one hand while I held the other. The suction holder did not move or wiggle or slide with the heavier wreath. Very happy with this purchase!

Edit 12-31-2019: Holder is still going strong! It has not fallen once, even through a few wreath changes.

Beth CooperBeth Cooper: I am so glad I stumbled across this! I've a had a wreath just sitting around for a few months now because I was having trouble finding a hook to use that wouldn't damage my door. Our front door is glass on most of it and I was worried about your standard over the door hooks scratching the glass. We also have a frame around the glass part and I don't think the hooks would have rested properly against it. I've also read people's reviews on the over the door hooks and how they can damage your weather stripping, I didn't want to risk it.

I saw the mixed reviews on this and was a little nervous, but saw one person mention it works best on glass front doors and I'm so glad I saw that review. It works perfectly on our door. The suction is super strong and stuck with no problem. As some have mentioned, it works best if your glass is completely flat, we have textured glass but luckily it's in-between two solid, flat layers. It is really windy around our house almost constantly so I was worried that the suction wouldn't stand a chance against the wind, but I've been proven wrong. It is sturdy, doesn't allow the wreath to swing against the door and has withstood the windiest of days...

TDV: The wife gave me a task: hang a wreath on the front door. Great, I'll just go to Amazon.

I read the reviews that said this would not work on wood. I figured I'd give it a try anyway as I really don't like hanger brackets, I think they look cheap. Well, the reviews saying this doesn't work on wood are accurate.

Fortunately, no self-respecting man goes into a project without a contingency. My front door has a small pane of glass at the top. The suction on this thing, as others have said, is awesome so when I stuck it to the glass it was very clear it wasn't going to be moving anytime soon. Using this as a perch, I was able to weave a small strand of 16 gauge wire to form a nearly invisible strap on the wreath which, when on the door, covers the suction cup to make it look next to invisible.

Long story short, the wife is pleased, the front door looks good, and this thing is a great deal.
