Vinaydeep A: The product is good and we have used it twice in Canada for a 3 and 4 hour drive. Our Ford ESCAPE has cross bars and the side rails do not have clearance under them. Therefore we had to secure all the straps. We loaded the heavy stuff in the Centre and the bag served us well Securing it takes time. I think that it is was also water resistant. The extra length of the straps need to be properly tucked in otherwise they will hit the car and making noise. The material of the bay also is very sturdy. I was successful in folding it and returning it to the carry bag which made me feel good.
It is a good product for $80 we paid. and allowed our kids to stretch their legs comfortably during the journey.

Gurpal Kaur: Used this to get from Denver to Boston. I fit three suitcases and it was pretty okay. The cons would be not being able to open the zipper so I just didn’t bother taking it off the whole road trip. It was stuck and had to be ripped.
The suitcases were pretty okay until I realized it started shifting back a bit but overall it was cheaper than a uhaul and carried what I needed.

John Mark Sudlow: This was exactly what we needed for a long trip in our Jeep Grand Cherokee with no roof rack. The door clips are easy to install, and are super strong and secure. We ran through two downpours on our 2,000 mile round trip and all our cargo stayed bone dry! I'm a new fan!
It comes with its own heavy duty zippered storage bag. After our trip, I was able to fold up the heavy roof bag and fit everything (car top bag, anti skid roof pad, straps and door clips) back into the storage bag. I never saw that one coming! Very nice package

Sawnya: Drove from Texas to North Dakota and back with 7 people. 3 adults and 4 kids 10 & under require a lot of stuff. My minivan holds everyone great, but with no room for luggage. I bought this strapped it on the roof, loaded it up, and took off.
It held 2 kids suitcases, large rolling suite case, 2 large duffel bags, and 2 small duffel bags with room to spare.
Now I have side rails on my minivan so I used the handles as an added way to secure the bag to the roof and zip tied it where I had tie downs. This was more so the shifting would be minimal. All of our luggage was in the carrier on top. That left the extremely small space behind the 3rd row for toys, jackets and random stuff you acquire with kids on a long road trip.
There was no ripping of the bag it really held up especially considering I seemed to have a heavy foot most if the drive 85-90 mph. Yes, I was speeding, but wouldn't you with that many people?
The hardest thing was zipping it up, my arms just are not long enough to zip around the back of the van... simple solution, wire coat hanger in the Zipp and pull, inconvenient yes, but hardly a deal breaker.
Now the water resistant... yes...
