Yardley: I had ordered two other units manufactured by another company. I need to return them. The do not register the temperature correctly, they're not even consistent with each other, while there is shadowing on the LCD face. On the other hand, these are spot-on. consistent with each other --giving identical reads -- and there is now LCD shadowing on the face. My new go-to thermometers for rooms

Ray: It is working as expected. The temperature reading matches the analog dial thermometer we have in the basement. What I like more is the humidity reading matches more the reading on the dehumidifier, but the reading on the analog dial one always seems to be way too high by almost 20%, which would make you lower the dehumidifier setting more because you think the humidity is too high in the basement, and as a result, the room would become too warm and uncomfortable. The touchscreen light is a welcome feature when you want to take a look at the readings in the not so bright basement without turning on the ceiling lights. Just hope it works well for years to come without breaking.

Need I tell you how easy is it to read it from across the room? Because if you never struggled with small digits you won't appreciate it but if you had I need not to spell it. Yes, this puppy is amazing. Inch tall or so digits tells you what you need to know without beating about the bushes.

Yes, I don't know how many devices of this size have touch screen but even if they do, they lack other features as I must have spent few days searching for a perfect device and this is it!
I love how you can touch the screen to change it from F to C and back as you please and
the light comes on if you need making the screen gorgeous blue like ocean or the early evening sky..

Yes, all you need is one touch and you can easily find it as it is in the middle of the bottom of the screen
and no guess work here. Touch i and the gorgeous blue light as in picture comes up. I really love
the fact that they did not lie in the product picture. Do you know how many times we all
see product promising nice LED light to the screen and then it comes and it is phew.....
