Sean Plemmons: My bedroom is probably at the end of the ductwork in my house. In the summer, the air conditioner does a great job of cooling every other room except my bedroom. I saw this as an option and it made an immediate difference. There are several fan speeds (up to 10) and you honestly can't hear the fan until you hit fan speeds 8-10. I turned the fan speed up to 10 for the air conditioning months and it really does pump out air. It did take a little bit of time to find the perfect temp for the fan to activate, but once I did, it worked every time. I also enjoy that I will be able to use it in the winter months when I run my furnace. I didn't even see that was an option until I received it. The digital display works well and I am glad there is an option to turn off the display because it is bright at night. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who needs an extra boost for their air vents.

I set it up and two bedrooms on the second floor of my home that are either too hot or too cold depending on the season in comparison with the rest of the house. I noticed that the vents were not getting enough air coming out of them and so I looked for an easy boosting solution. This was Far and Away the easiest solution possible. I love that it automatically turns on when the heat starts or the air conditioning starts so you don't have to manually turn it on and off every time. You can set the force of the fan strength and the temperatures you want the unit to kick on. They have been running non-stop from several years and I've not shown any signs of breaking down yet. Rachel H: I bought these because I have a really old air conditioner (1994). It's too small for my house and it doesn't push the AC to the top floor enough. My main floor will be really cold and the heat will hit you in the face half way up the stairs. I have tall ceilings also and that doesn't help. I have 2 vents in my main bedroom and so I bought 2 of these. Right out of the box I put them in and plugged them in.. they have really long cords that are nice if you don't have an outlet close to the vent. I put them both on fan speed 10, which is the max. I probably will turn them down. They have cooled my room probably by 10 degrees! It feels as cool upstairs as down now. I no longer wake up in a sweat. I have an oscillating fan also going to help push the air around. Some reviews say you can hear the fan in them, probably but over my big fan and the rain my husband plays on the TV it's all white noise and they don't bother me. I wish I hadn't waited so long to buy them. I think I first looked at them a year ago and hesitated because of the price. They are worth it to sleep better at night! Rod MacInnis: Easy to install. Cable is small enough to hide under the baseboard. The fans are reasonably quiet when running. Overall this unit has made a huge difference in the hottest room in our home. Dropped the temperature by a solid 6/7 deg C.

gijoe1984: After a few heat waves this product has really saved my room. It used to be unbearable to be in when temperaturea reached over 30 degrees celius or higher and the fan and settings in this vent really helped bring it down. I set the fan level to 5 when sleeping and its not as loud. Obviously if you set it to 10 max setting its going to be louder but I find that 5 or 6 fan is good to go. I plan on getting more of these for my house and highly recommend it for anyone with hot and cold spots in their house. It should be wifi enabled so I dont have to manually press buttons but perhaps the nexr version will be.

STARLORD: I purchased 3 of these for two rooms in the house that tend to be too hot in the summer and cold in winter due to one room being over the garage and the other next to that is about half underexposed because the front terrace. The temperature in these two rooms is wildly inconsistent despite having central air.

Two of the units are in the room that's over the garage, and one in other room which is smaller.

These boosters worked magic - the temperature in the room over the garage is usually 2-3 degrees warmer than what the AC is set to during the summer. If the AC is set to 23, the room over the garage is usually 25-26 (sometimes even hotter because it has 3 large windows and most are facing west). So late in the afternoon it can get hellish in there.

I received these in the first week of July, on one of the hottest days, and I installed them right away. Within an hour the room was significantly cooler. A couple of hours in, the temperature was within less than 1 degree difference of the AC setting, which is a big deal. It was incredible.
