ALAN: You can clearly tell the author toke time to find the information, write it in a way you can picture him telling you these stories at a campire or a blanket over his head with a flash light under his chin. I bought all three books great author!!!

Mak: I have been wanting a transcript of the podcast since I started listening. It's an excellent source of entertainment for the spooky and supernatural and it's equally fun to read as it was to listen. If you haven't had the experience of listening to his podcast, I can not stress how fantastic it is.

Dodo: Ein Nachteil an Band 3 "Dreadful Places" ist, dass sich viele Geschichten auf die USA beziehen, was für europäische Leser relativ uninteressant ist, da man einige der genannten Orte überhaupt nicht kennt. (Und die Geschichten dazu sind auch nicht alle so fesselnd, dass man dennoch Interesse entwickelt).
Manche Geschichten, wie z.B. das Drama am Dyatlov-Pass werden im Vergleich recht knapp abgehandelt (hier zum Beispiel ist die Darstellung in "Bedtime Stories" - auch als Kindle-Ausgabe erhältlich - viel ausführlicher und besser).
Ich muss gestehen, dass in diesem Band sogar manchmal Seiten bewusst übersprungen haben, da mich die Geschichten einfach nicht ansprachen. Dennoch natürlich eine Ergänzung der Serie für Fans.

Book Lover: This is the third book by Aaron Mahnke I have read. This time he has written a spooky good book about places that are just a little scary. Now to be fair some of these places I have read of before or seen in documentaries, but that doesn't take away from the story it actually makes it more interesting. If you are a fan of the supernatural then this is one you have to read. However if it keeps you awake after reading don't blame me just say they are only old wives tales. To Aaron Mahnke I say good job and keep them coming.

If you already listen to the Lore podcast, it may not be as great. Many of the tales are almost (if not totally) word for word what Aaron has shared on the podcast.
I also struggled with his jumping around a but with stories. In the podcast it makes sense, but within a book it gets confusing.
Great choices though.
