A system integrator: Purchased this "just in case", then actually needed it within a week of arrival. A small drywall screw about 5/8" long punctured the tire causing a slow leak. I was able to repair without removing the tire:

*Jacked up the car closest to the punctured tire
*Removed the screw, which released all of the air (the jack prevented the tire from bottoming-out)
*Reamed the puncture-hole carefully to be sure I wasn't creating a new hole
*Slid the repair-string into the "needle" and applied glue as per the instructions
*Pushed the needle into the tire, requiring great force. I had to be careful to go straight into the tire because I could see that any side-motion would bend it.
*Pulled the handle straight and without twisting to retract the needle, which popped out once the string was released through a small slit at the tip
*Immediately filled the tire with air to 33psi (there is some internet-debate about waiting 20 minutes for the glue to set, but the instructions don't state that)
*Trimmed the excess
*Lowered and removed the jack

That was three weeks and over 400 miles ago, and shows no signs of issues. When I shared this story with...
