In creating this review I've considered both the type of material used in making the product as well as the overall fit and finish. I've also considered how well the product meets my needs and whether there are any shortcomings or particular advantages in using this product.

For this particular product, the type of material used in the manufacture and creation of the product seems to be of very good quality. One must consider that for any product of this type there is a balance between the type of material used and the cost that is to be passed on to the consumer. I think for this product that balance has been met fairly well and I believe that the product will meet the expectations of most buyers.

Finally, as with many products of this type, the value that a consumer sees is dependent on the expectation. JPB: This item was exactly as described and it arrived quickly. This interchangeable head hammer is well made, the crossbar that the heads screw into appears to be aluminum and it is secured into the wood handle with an epoxy type sealant. There are no sharp edges and the handle is shaped, sanded, and sealed. Please note that the threaded studs that screw into the crossbar are made of steel and the hammer head will attract strong magnets. This is not an issue for me, but might be for you.
All 5 of the heads screwed into the hammer smoothly and their shape matched the crossbar. The hammer is made in China as are most tools in this price range.
To date, the hammer functions as designed, I will update this post if any failure occurs.

Whyliegirl: The seller is great, I should have just checked further into the weight of the hammer. For it's price it is excellent qaulity and was shipped to me quickly and at a reasonable price. When I use the synthetic heads, I will just have to ensure that I have one of the metal heads on as well :)

Pat: I've had a couple of hammers to use for my amateur gunsmithing. This hammer has great ergonomics, not too small nor too large, and I like the tapered heads. It's very comfortable.
I've had bad experiences with plastic heads breaking, so I hope this hammer's heads can hold up. If not, considering what I paid, I'm in a good place.
For those of you out there that have the heads come loose, there is something called thread locker in various brands. Clean the threads of the hammer and heads with a degreaser and use a spot of the blue (light locking power) thread locker, and your heads will never come loose on their own. Remember to use just a touch of the thread locker; you'll probable need a tool to help you remove the head thereafter.

JohnnyP: You get what you pay for. This hammer works fine and the heads are easily interchangeable. When I unscrewed the heads that came installed on the hammer, one head retained the threaded stud, but the other head left the threaded stud in the hammer. It seems that when the hammer is assembled they put some glue on the wood handle to keep it in place and that glue grabbed onto the threaded stud. I had to unscrew it with pliers and reinstall it into the head after putting some lock-tite on it. Should be fine now.
