PaulBPaulB: I am making red MOP inlay material for banjo. Dyed some Easy Inlay in a mixture of 50% Red Rit Dye and 50% white vinegar for 18 hours. the pics show the results. Going for darker, so I read about Jacquard Basic red dry dye and will try that. I have some on order.

Laura Leigh Shining Otter: Gorgeous color transformed a gray silk dress I loved but had a spot on it so the cherry red mixed with a slight gray of the silk created this gorgeous rich vibrant dark red just love this dress now always liked it now just love it also at the same time I used it on a sort of tan colored linen blouse I got on Amazon that the color just wasn’t working for me. Well the gray silk dress came out a gorgeous gorgeous deep lush rich red I just adore the dress now gonna be perfect for travel perfect for a hot leather the blouse came out a Mediterranean red kind of a deep rich coral red it would been beige before really the color is just rich vibrant but soft and muted love it I did pre-wash both items with baking soda in the water to remove any detergents as per instructions and I did add a squeeze of detergent and a cup of salt to the hot water in the washing machine I let them sit overnight justLovely color definitely will buy this again definitely will use this again rendered the perfect read for my complexion and looks very good with my blonde hair

Amazon Customer: Used Cherry Red and it came out excellent!

From previous knowledge of tie dye, I did a 20 minute baking soda soak in hot water. Then drained the washing machine. Did not rinse! Just drained!

Added salt and the little bit of soap like the instructions said. In very hot water. I also stopped my washing machine to let the dye soak for an hour. Stirring occasionally for even coverage. Then let the washer finish its cycle with a deep rinse.

Came out amazing! :-) exactly like the color on the bottle.

(I used 2 bottles of the because I had 4 lbs of cloth. Duvet cover and three large pillow cases. All white cotton.)

Will be doing another duvet cover soon. This was my boyfriend's now I will be doing mine!

Ms Medb Markey: Turned everything pink ! And the instructions were followed! Always used rit powder in the past i dont rate this oroduct at alk it was a complete disappointment !
