CynthiaM: I LUV Blueberry collars. But...

I purchased the olive/blue collar, which looks super sharp in the images, but not so much in person. I ordered a medium and while it would fit my 55 pound dog, it's tiny and really meant for a small dog. My other issue w/this collar is the material it's made from; it feels like a cotton, and in the case of this colour combo, the light part would definitely get dirty easily, so the aesthetic -- which is already less attractive than the images -- would only get worse very quickly.

deadmoon: i got this and the ginger color collar one year ago and gave them a good scrub today and the fabric is barely weathered, which is a miracle considering the dogs that wear them. the color has hardly faded at all, and there's very little fraying of the fibers, though the reflective tape is not going to last much longer on my rowdier dog's collar. nbd for us. the metal fittings are fading to copper but i like how it looks. these collars are definitely flexible, i don't like to leash them by the collar if i can avoid it but these work fine in a pinch, and they haven't gotten caught on anything. overall, great craftsmanship, and the colors still look great. if these things wear out i'll definitely look to bluebell for new ones!

Miss Annie: good looking and functional collar - not heavy like the chain martingale collars, though perhaps has a little less influence on the dog (my dog anyway!). If the collar is adjusted correctly on the dog's neck, there may not be much slack to take the collar on and off. It's a bit difficult on my dog as he has had ear problems. However, overall I like the collar - bit costly if you have a dog that might chew it!

AK2AG: Excellent collar! Seems very well made and easy to adjust. I love the reflective strands in embedded in the collar since our pup has black fur and can “disappear” at nighttime. The ONLY reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because the size guide made it somewhat difficult to pick the right size. Our dog weighs around 50 pounds which suggests she would need the Large collar but the circumference of her head and neck put her in the Medium range. I went with the Medium and I am very happy with my choice. If you are on the fence with sizes, choose the size based MOSTLY on head and neck sizes vs weight.

x: Bought this for my mixed breed who can slip out of any standard collar. We have been walking her on a harness for years, but she recently started running away from her harness when we were getting her ready for a walk. I decided to try the martingale collar at the recommendation of our vet, and it worked like a charm. It is very reflective, attractive, and my dog can’t duck it. She seems to prefer it to he old harness - doesn’t run away anymore. The collar seems well built and I expect it will hold up well.

Colin HemphillColin Hemphill: We have a black lab mix, and wanted a high contrast color that wasn't red. We got the striped Blueberry collar and leash for him, and the light purples and blues look great! He looks super adorable in these colors.

I was interested to try a Martingale because I had heard good things from trainers, vets, and the shelter we adopted our dog from. It sits comfortably loose on him without feeling insecure, and it feels like it gives me excellent control with him on walks. I think he does better with a martingale on walks than he did in a full vested harness, and now it no longer takes me ten minutes to get him in and out of it when preparing for a walk. He doesn't want to run ahead and pull anymore, and has started to respond much better to commands and guidance on walks. He trots at my side and looks up at me regularly, which is a huge improvement!

He was quite proud of his new look when we first put it on, and he walked around showing it off all day. This is a great quality brand with excellent designs. We also love that it's reflective without damaging the aesthetics. Our pup is extremely tall which makes him heavy, but with a really lanky body, so collar sizing charts...

Amanda Dunn: Loved this collar! The colors were bright and look good together. The quality of the collar is high. It has not faded as my dog goes in and out of the lake for swimming or spends many hours outside. I love that the white color on the collar is reflective. You can't really tell during the day but it's easy to see at night when my dog goes out for a midnight pee in the backyard. The collar has also been an effective tool for teaching walking skills, she pulls much less with this collar than a standard one.

Maelle: J'ai adopté un jeune chien qui n'a pas eut la vie facile et qui est effrayé très rapidement (pas d'inquiétude on travaille pour que ça s'arrange). Lors d'une balade il a réussit à sortir de son collier classique en tirant en arrière alors que ce dernier était parfaitement bien ajusté et est rentré seul à la maison (gros moment de stress pour moi). Avec son nouveau collier, ceci ne peut plus arrivé en effet le collier est lâche temps qu'il n'y a pas de tension sur la laisse mais se resserre immédiatement s'il tire en avant comme en arrière donc plus de soucis.
Autre avantage les deux bandes réfléchissantes, qui rendent le chien très visible.
