Patricia King: I love the New York Times Sunday Crossword. These pens are truly erasable, without damaging the thin newspaper pages. These are better than pencils because the ink is much darker and easier to read. Once you have the pens, you can save money by buying the refills on Amazon. They are also good if you are taking notes; no more scratch-outs.

Kristi with a K: I needed black ink erasable pens for legal work documents. I tried a few other brands before finding these. The others had a few problems: ink smeared often, ink was too thick, and the pen didn’t last long-ran out of ink very quickly. I’m very happy I found these because they are better quality, write very normal, the ink dries quickly and I don’t get smears even when my hand rubs across the ink as I’m writing, they erase very easily and completely *as long as you let the ink dry completely before attempting to erase. If you try to erase right away then the ink will smear slightly and might not erase completely but leave a very small visible residue, BUT still not as bad as the other ones and again, wait 2-3 seconds before erasing and it comes off effortlessly and completely. I’ve already ordered my second package-not because I used them up quickly but because coworkers have been impressed and I gave some away :)

Jiru: These are great pens to use for mostly everything. They allow you to erase your mistakes while keeping the look and feel of a pen. Just remember that the ink is reactive to heat and will erase. This can be very annoying buy also very useful.
Cons:
If you are outside, especially during extreme heat, sometimes the entire pen will react and essentially "dry out". If you are constantly in places with extreme heat, or leave your pens in places that get really hot, I suggest looking at other pens. These pens also have a pretty small ink supply. So if you do tend to write a lot then either stock up or look into other options. For reference they only lasted me around 2 weeks worth of heavy writing (each pen).

Benefits:
Like I said above, these pens allow you to erase your mistakes while keeping the look and feel of a pen. They are also really cool to just use. If you ever mess up, and I mean really mess up, you can just use the friction from your hand to erase a large area worth of writing. They are also AMAZING when designing something as you can use them to make sketch lines, and just heat up your design to erase them whenever you feel you've made the best work possible...

Isaac: Ink drys fast and there is very minimal stain when ink is erased (think slight oil stain type of discoloration). Ink does not come out too quickly, which was an issue with my last erasable, and it is pretty consistent.

Would recommend for students taking quick notes

After a few months of fairly consistent use these pens are still kicking! A previous reviewer said that it ran out in a few days of note taking, but I really don't see how that is possible. I checked and mine are all over half way full.... given that I take notes in class for around 10 hours a week, this seems to be pretty on par with normal pens.

I would also HIGHLY recommend these for written tests. If you have to write in pen these will save you big time! I just wrote a 3 hour exam yesterday and these saved me from having to cross out or white out any of my work. It made it look much more presentable and was much quicker. One thing to note is that the grip can be a bit of a pressure point for people who hold their pens a bit lower than most. After 3 hours of vigorously writing it started to hurt a bit. Not to the point of needing to stop mind you, but enough that it would have been...
