60V Brushless POWERWORKS 17" Lawn Mower

Julie Pruchinsky: This electric lawnmower is the best investment that I have made. I've had problems pulling the cord on a gas mower and this mower is just a push of a button. I'm 65 years old 100 lbs. and only 4' 10" tall so I should have gotten a self-propelled but for someone that is younger and stronger it pushes great. It cuts tall grass and the battery so far last 1 hour and 15 minutes because it has not died on me yet. Love the mower.

Jacob hoepfnerJacob hoepfner: Bought this lawn mover early before spring in order to build it so when the snow melted I could go and cut the lawn. No problem with putting the lawn mower together. The directions were easy to follow and nothing to complain about. However I noticed too late when spring arrived that I received a battery that was manufactured in 2017 and the charging station from 2019. I don't think it's the charger itself is the problem or it's the battery but no matter what I did or how long I tried, I couldn't charge the 5 year old batter I received. I called support in order to hopefully get a new battery to come with the product.

I called and after I spoke with them they said they would email me and I would have to give my invoice. I proceeded to give my invoice and pictures of the the items I received. I would then have to wait days before I got a response from greenworks. Which asked me what the battery did on the charger(Which is nothing no lights but the charger makes a sound after the battery is plugged in). After letting them know this, I still haven't received any response. This has been ongoing for over a week with customer support. No customer support for the weekends either...

Eric A. Hofstetter: I've invested heavily in the Powerworks 60V yard machines. This was probably my last purchase except for maybe some longer lasting batteries. I could not be happier with the performance of this mower. It is easily half as loud as my last Troy-Bit gas mower. The rear wheel self propulsion is okay, but a little touchy for me... I would say I push on flat surface without it more than I do. I have yet to use the grass catcher OR the side discharge chute because the mulching is SO good! A solid FOUR star item... with lots of FIVE star love!

con: a piece broke off of the bar for activating the self propulsion, and it now hangs too low for just fingers to grab and pull the bar. Does not effect the SP function at all... but a bit of a bummer. Having a hard time contacting customer support.

Frank Robinson: I like the ease and economy of use, that I am not using gasoline, and that I do not have to pull a starter cord. I get some light exercise doing the yard, with a quiet whoosh sound. I was concerned that the battery would not hold up for the backyard, due to size. But after I touched up the front, this unit cut the whole back yard on one battery charge! When I was done, I folded it up and put it away. Easy. This is checking all the boxes for me.

Linda CovneyLinda Covney: The media could not be loaded.  The day the arrived, my wife and I unpacked it and charged the battery. My grandson helped assemble it in about 10 minutes and he wanted to be the first one to use it. As the battery was charged he got first dibs.

I forgot to spray the underside with PAM, but it works just as well after the fact. I let the spray sit for 3 or 4 days then wiped it down. The painted surfaces wiped down with just a paper towel, the plastic parts, front bumper, rear drape and mulching plate needed a tire brush but easily returned to like new in minutes.

I love everything about this mower. It takes about 15 seconds to go from mowing position to stowing position, a one lever height adjustment and a two bar safety action. The drive wheels have a good grip for mowing on grades.

Spring rains are great for the grass and in our yards, sections tend to grow out-of-control after just 2 or 3 days of rain. This mower handled mulching it like a champ. Our fron and back yards total about 2200 sq ft and the battery only lost 1 bar of 4.

We'll keep our 18 year-old Honda in the shed for the time being, but its days appear to be numbered.
