Female, Sarasota FL: I have been using the Litter Locker now for a few years - sometimes with more than 1 cat. Even with multiple cats, I typically was able to tie the bag off just a couple times a week and toss it out. Doing this contained the odor, and was very easy to maintain. Right now with one very old cat (21 yrs!), kidney failure sets in so the urine release has a lot more volume and therefore heavier. The locker and the bags still work great, but if you are a cat owner in my position be careful of when the bag is just about done (i.e. when the "black strip" starts to shows). It might need to be tied off more often - and it will definitely need to be tied off pretty much when the black strip starts to show as the weight of the urine volume is to much and the bag just drops out of the container - leaving a mess in the Locker. But this type of maintenance comes with older felines.
However, this product works great and I would definitely recommend it.

GigiJenny: I love, love, love, LOVE our litter locker II! There is no doubt about it! We have two cats and two xl litter boxes that are each scooped twice a day (since I wouldn’t use a gross, dirty toilet I certainly wouldn’t expect anyone else to either, even our pets). Twice a day everything is scooped into the litter locker and there is literally NO smell.

The re-fill cartridges are amazing and are the same size as the ones for the diaper genie for babies; the only difference is that these have a different look on the outside. I have bought the diaper genie re-fills in a pinch, but buying the refill cartridges in bulk on Amazon makes them more economical. The cartridges last quite a while also. The litter locker easily holds our two cats litter box leavings for an entire week and we end up taking out only one bag o' grossness once a week (the morning of garbage pick-up). I bought a six pack of the refills mid-July 2013 and just had to buy another 6-pack mid-January 2014.

We make sure to tie the ends up tight when it’s time to pull a new week’s worth of refill into the bottom “holding tank”, which helps. To make the entire bag safer from any accidents on the way...

Farmer Jon: Review on Re-Order of 6 refill bags: We initially received our Litter Locker II and refills on 8/15/12 (this posting dated 7/16/13) and it has served us well with no complaints except for the wasted refill bags by following their instructions on how to change them out. I have mostly resolved the issue by doing the following, (see photos above to demonstrate procedure. Note: apparently Amazon has discontinued letting us add images, however my description below should be OK. Darn, I took a lot of time taking and adjusting the photos.:>))

1. Obtain two 4 inch ± plastic ties.
2. Open litter locker II to expose filled litter bag.
3. Tie top of filled litter bag with one of the 4" plastic ties (pull it tight). Then about 1-2 inches above it, tie it again with the 2nd 4" plastic tie (pull it tight).
4. Place the plastic litter bag area located between the two plastic ties into the cutter.
5. Cut the plastic litter bag area located between the two plastic ties.
6. Remove the filled litter bag from the litter locker II container, and pull down the un-filled litter bag almost to the bottom of the litter locker II container (pulling it any further will waste plastic...

Laurie: Litter Locker makes it so much easier to scoop & dispose of my cat's poop & pee clumps. It's easy to use, though the only complaint & have is that you need to hold onto the Litter Locker with one hand to "shake" the poop or pee clumps down the hole. I think it's a weight issue, being the Little Locker is a bit 'top heavy' till more clumps are dumped down the hole. But it certainly keeps our cat's area looking & smelling nice & clean! And best of all, you only have to tie off the bag once every two weeks (for one cat at least) & dispose of it in the trash. No flushing down the toilet & wasting water!. No placing clumps in plastic grocery bags 'every day' & disposing them in the trash! So it's eco friendly & I really love that! Very easy to pop in a cartridge & tie it off at the bottom, though you do have to make sure the plastic is 'opened up' inside the lower half of the Litter Locker or the clumps will not fall to the bottom at first. I've already placed two orders for replacement cartridges', so I really like this product! I think you will too!
