KAP: I've been buying these for a while now and they work well. However there are a lot of complaints regarding how difficult they are to get started. Honestly not that difficult, just need to take you time and find where the beginning actually is so you don't pull out a whole sleeve in one shot where it becomes unusable. When I buy them I get the 6 pack and get them all started ahead of time so it's done and ready for use as I need them. I'm sure there are cheaper options, but there are complaints about those as well.

Unhappy Customer: As many others have mentioned the product is defective. The first one I tried had a bag that was haphazardly stuffed into the holder. I had to pull about 75% of the product out to find the end. Tried to reroll it properly, but pretty much impossible to roll it right enough to fit back into canister by hand. The second one I opened was rolled properly. I've owned this unit for over a year and have never had an issue with the refills before, but I always buy from another more expensive vendor. This vendor appears to be selling repacked, garbage, factory second refills.

Amazon Customer: I've been using a Litter Genie since they came out with it. I absolutely love the product! I've had three plus cats since 2004 - I've used every means of getting rid of cat waste since then - littermaid; scoop free litter box, high side box, lid on the box, etc, etc. By 2013, a manual box with an easy to clean up cat waste station is easiest... not the prettiest way to do it but, by far, the easiest. Having cats ultimately means you'll be doing this job until you no longer have them.... so why not make it easier on yourself! I read some other reviews about "hacks" to be cheaper and make it easier - yes, they all work but this waste station and bag refill solution is honest to god the easiest to keep the smell out, durable bags means no holes or spilling cat litter everywhere. It easily travels from one litter box to the next (I have three!). So, spend a few extra bucks, and do yourself the favor of just getting this unit and the bag refills that go with it!

Lacemaker427: We bought the Litter Locker Genie system after retiring our old Litter Locker that had a "wheel" type of internal system. Everytime you added litter, you had to turn the wheel to keep from smelling it, but that wasted a lot of the plastic bag! With this system, you pull open the closing piece, dump the litter in, release the spring-loaded closing piece, and all the stinky stuff is sealed in the bag below. When it gets so full that the litter comes up near the closing piece, you simply open the bottom, pull down more bag, cut it off with the safety cutter attached to the inside, tie off both ends, and start again. It it is easy enough for kids to use, and the bags of yuck aren't too large to handle easily, nor so small that they have to be take out every week. In addition, it has a significantly smaller footprint than the original Litter Locker.

I couldn't be happier with this clever device. Litter Locker's designers really had their thoughts focused when they designed the Genie. Even though we have 2 cats, I feel that the bag refills last for quite a long time, at least 3 weeks!

Any indoor cat owner will enjoy the Genie for its ease of use and the fact that they will...

Nancy cav: If you have not tried the litter Genie you HAVE to!! Between the Litter Genie and these refills (of bags) you have NO SMELL in your house or garbage can!! Before I tried this system my garbage can STANK! I actually thought there was a serious mold problem in our garage. You could not even open up the garage door without the stink coming into the house (and no, it did not smell like cat poop). The garbage can was outside of the garage at this point. My inlaws and I were trying to figure out where the stink was coming from and we were even peeling back the siding on the outside of the garage, convinced that was the problem. It made sense. But then my FIL realized that once he moved the garbage can the house didn't smell as much. Yes, it was THAT BAD!!! I mean, this is 10 times worse than kids poop in diapers!!!!! So, since getting this system and using these bags we don't have ANY problems and it saved me from getting my garage wall taken down and 'fixed'.
