Frank: Life Savers have been around a long time and I decided to buy them to use for dry mouth or when a sugar boost was needed. First, I don’t like their individual packaging. Most of the time you need a knife or scissors to open the little plastic bags. All the colors taste the same, so I won’t call them flavors. Won’t buy again.

Debby Ward: Husband eats these like crazy in the middle of the night for his dry mouth. Flavor does make a difference because I have thrown out many types of hard candy because they didn't get his spit glands working. I tried buying smaller sizes from the local stores because they don't carry the big bag like this and they are always sticking to the wrapper. Thanks for having a good product and storing them correctly.

Instead of using cardboard rolls, which were not very successful, Noble created tin-foil wrappers to keep the mints fresh. Noble founded the Life Savers and Candy Company in 1913 and significantly expanded the market for the product by installing Life Savers displays next to the cash registers of restaurants and grocery stores. He also encouraged the owners of the establishments to always give customers a nickel in their change to encourage sales of the...
