Japanese Hanatsume Konpeito Sugar Candy - MARUTA Brand

Amazon Customer: I got these to try and show my neighborhood what Konpeito is like. And sadly, these are a poor example. They're not well formed, and tinier than expected. The flavor is okay, and they are well preserved. But I suppose this is a get what you pay for situation.

ZemhiZemhi: These are good. I bought them to give to coworkers in jars but I overestimated the size of the konpeito to jar ratio. 2 small packets fit in the mini glass tube jars「bought from the dollar tree」 while the bigger plastic jar「also bought from the dollar tree」took the rest. Since I kept 10 for myself and then the 4 used for the mini glass jars.

Onto the taste. They each have their own subtle flavours. I'm not 100% sure their actual flavours but these are my opinion of what I tasted;
-The purple pink white ones were super subtle and tasted more of just sugar, I assume they're supposed to be Sakura or wisteria flavoured
-The all green and white ones tasted like green apple
-The blue green white ones tasted like ramune , original ramune flavour to be exact
-The dango coloured ones (pink green and white) tasted like melon
-The orange yellow white ones tasted well like orange/citrus

For me, I loved the blue, white, and green ones best but they are all tasty, but also quite sweet since they're basically pure sugar. So one or two packets is enough for me. But they're good and perfect to give to friends, family, co-workers etc as little gifts

Faith: The flavours of the candies were varied and tasted really good. There was enough for me to share with friends and family as well. They also enjoyed the candies too.

Cassandra Sutherland: Smaller than i thought, but thats totally ok- theyre super cute and taste great. There was also a 10% off voucher for an online japanese candy shop included in the package, and two little squares of origami paper. Good quality and would buy again :)

Emiyn: They're sweeter than anticipated! I love them! They're perfect little after dinner snacks that leave a lovely taste in your mouth. The taste of the yellow and green (lemon and lime?) was stronger than anticipated as I expected it to be the same taste just different colours, but no, each colour has its own taste (unless it's just placebo) Really loving them, will definitely buy again.
