This salt quality makes my corals very happy with a good price point. I’m still inexperienced, so when I switched from what I used before, I noticed the difference in their response to water changes immediately. They open beautifully.
Other than that, it does take a bit more time to dissolve than I’d like. The brand I switched from was about the same consistency and dissolved very fast.
I have one pico reef and only do 1gal changes at a time, so my mixtures don’t have a lot of salt at all with heaters and bubblers to dissolve it. But it does take over an hour to fully dissolve just a gallon, so even though it dissolves better when water reaches ideal reef temperatures, add it in a little earlier than your water reaches desired temp while aerating, but crank up the aeration and just make sure your mixing container is well-covered. Probably do a periodic manual mixing or run a small pump in your container, if you do big changes.
If you add it after waiting for warm-up, you’ll still wait as long as you’re already waiting for the mixture to aerate and fully heat for transfer. Only...
