linda: I don't know what I expected and it's not the item's fault. But with two new hips, I thought I would need this kneeler in the garden. By the time I got up and down on it, I was rinsed. And you have to keep moving it. I suppose if you were going to be in one place for a longer amount of time, it would be good. But to keep lugging it around did not help me one bit. I have not used it inside on the floors yet because I feel the same thing, hoist myself up, move it a bit, get back down on the kneeler. As to sitting on it, iffy. You need a flat solid surface. I did not feel safe sitting on it. Too narrow. So unfortunately, never used it other than one day trying it out.

AmazonFan41: Altho I enjoyed doing outside work, my arthritic fingers and knees convinced me to give up gardening years ago. I purchased this "Garden Kneeler" for INDOOR use only:
-- as a "kneeler" to help me down and back up from the floor for certain tasks;
-- as a "bench" to help me reach into my lower cabinets.
SO STURDY, and SO EASY TO USE (came FULLY ASSEMBLED, and easily folds up and out of the way when not in use!

Barbra: I bought this several years ago when yard work was becoming difficult. I especially like the handles for pulling yourself up after kneeling. When my son-in-law had a serve illness that left him in a wheelchair he was trying to do his lawn by rolling around in the grass. I bought him one. His walking has improved but he still needs and uses this for assistance. My daughter says mostly in the garage when working on the lower part of the cars. My husband finally grabbed it one day when he thought no one was looking he's 94 and a bit too proud. It is now his constant companion when working in the yard. Folds nicely, but a little stiff for older arms. Excellent tool!

DnCA: Purchased from a 3rd party vendor. Unit is lightweight and portable. I would not expect to be using this unit in any HEAVY DUTY way. It is Narrow and can be set off-balance with an unintentional Scoot. To stand on for any reason would surely render a FOOL'S REVENGE and will most likely get somebody hurt; but used as intended it is a lot better than stooping or kneeling in those wet/dirty places. Love that it folds up neatly for easy and portable storage. The total price I paid including standard shipping was the same as the TV special price, it took a week longer-than-prime to deliver, but at least I didn't have to give my cr-cd number to some TV scam shop and get sent the Xtra whatever for shipping and handling that cost more that the product. Love the unit and it came with a decent tool bag,, I use all the time. May be too slightly built for XXXL peeps, but I consider myself an XL-XXL peep and it seems to work just fine. Balance will be an issue on wet or unstable ground and if you think you might be broken from a tip over on this thing look elsewhere, for something more stable, because sooner or later it will happen if you use in the garden at all.
