I don't use the built in timer, so I can't speak on that, but it works with all the attachments and it was new when I got it, not used or rusty like some reviews said.

Eric: The media could not be loaded. I don't trust it would last for a long time, the frame flexes everytime you press. I would have kept it for the extra addons, but the hat press is poorly designed interferes with pressing it cleanly. So, with the flexing of the entire frame and inability to make hats... I returned it. You can expect all of these units being useless or nearly useless for the hat press option. All these types of presses have the same round part that would interfere, i have opted for a clamshell and dedicated hat press. I got this as an open box, like i said, it did press well, but i worried how many pressings i would get done before something broke.

Kellie: I really like this hest press. Easy to use. Easy to connect and disconnect the extra pieces. Good value for the price. Have had it for just shy of a year and use it all the time for make shirts. Would buy again.
The down fall is that when raising and lowering the hest plate there is black stuff (almost powdery) that falls onto the base legs so then when I have to tuck a larger garment down onto the base sometimes black will get on the garments. It's reminds me of powdery copier ink. It also collects on the top of the heat plate from working the handle up and down for pressing. I keep a towel around the base to collect it and so far no issue with the clothing.
Overall tho it's a good product and gets my jobs done with no major issues.

Melissa: Been using this for alittle bit over a year. Worked great, has a weird fishy smell off of it but luckily it doesn't stay in the materials. Also requires alot of room due to the swing away feature. Would definitely buy again if it wasn't for communication with the seller.. Stopped working 47 days after my warranty ended. Company agreed to send a replacement of control box. Thru requested to remind them after 15 days to mail it(???) Only to be told they are no longer in stock and would have to wait 3+ months for a replacement. Hopefully you won't need any assistance from the seller as the communication and professionalism is very poor.
Other wise, product was good.

Rick: I purchased this product as a DIY to sublimate/heat press t-shirts for friends and family and so far it has worked to perfection. I've only used the mug press and the heat press so far but it works very good. It's sturdiness is not industrial strength but for a home DIY'er, it has exceeded my expectations. I did have an issue with the control panel being broken, contacted their customer service team by email and within a week, they delivered a replacement. That's great customer service.

Keisha Curl: Packaging: BIG HEAVY BOX but well packaged. No damage at all.
Unboxing: all pieces were there plus a screwdriver
Putting together: Main press comes assembled, no real assembly to just use the main heat press (12x15) I had to tighten a couple of screws under the control box but that was it. Otherwise this is a open the box and get to it heat press. Manual was straight forward, there’s instructions for changing out attachments.
Use & Quality: very easy to use, heats up to temp in about 10-15 mins. Pressure knob is great and works well for what I’ve pressed so far. Haven’t used any of the attachments, I just recieved my packages a few days ago (1 day early May I add). I got lucky with my temp and time right off the bat, quality came out great. Of course this is relying on many factors and not just the heat press but I’m very pleased with how the heat press is working so far.
Price: Pricey for an upfront cost, but does come with other attachments as well so you get lots for your money. I used the $15 coupon which was nice. It’s an investment for sure but will be a game changer if you’ve been using an iron or handheld heat press.

Mama of 2: I received the press and initially really liked it. After using it a few times, I started having trouble with the mug press and flat press. I contacted the seller and they were extremely helpful and sent me a replacement very quickly. In the end I have a fully functioning press that I’m really enjoying.

CelynaCelyna: I'm a first time user with a heat press so this is coming from a newbie standpoint:
Its heavy as far as weight goes so becareful. Its smooth rotating handle and it takes about little less than 10 minutes to heat up to 315 degrees which is the temperature that most vinyl uses. The alarm for the timer is loud which is good unless you have thin walls and easily irritated neighbors then not so much. The instructions weren't exactly simple but with a little common sense, was easy to figure out. Nothing came broken. I'm excited to use the additional accessories for my next projects! Will update in coming months about the versatility and the machines progression.
Overall, it's a lot better than an iron and the easy press I used at my friends. I used it to create these shirts for Halloween! A lot better and faster than my iron!
Oct 1 2021 Update: my heat press is still going strong! I still have not used the attachments as I have enjoyed layering canvas and shirts! When purchasing the heatpress, add a roll of parchment paper. I've had a few mistakes in where the vinyl was upside down and the letters stuck to the paper but had it not been there, it would have stuck to...

Rosemary: Works perfect love the instruction temperatures. If you swivel it one way will burn your wire. Only able to turn to the left to not burn your wire. Need a lot of room.
