KBrown: I love the fact that Terry are independent of each other.

I installed these in the garage next to my wife's truck and my truck 🚚 🛻 so when we get out of the truck in the dark we can just reach up and turn on a light fixture. Perfect !!!

These provide plenty of light to light the space from the back of the truck to the front.

They are very light weight and the mounting brackets and chains were adequate. I used EZ Anchors to screw into the sheetrock ceiling then used the hook provided to screw into the EZ Anchor which worked great.

I wish they made this same light in a 2' version to put over my work bench.

BabarOnWheels: As the headline says, so far so good. I was replacing a set of fluorescent tubes. The fluorescents were bright and good except when it was really cold out; then they wouldn't start (i.e. they would not turn on at all). The pair in this product was easy to install, the "linkable" feature allowed me to daisy-chain them easily; they plugged right in and everything worked out-of-the-box -- no issues. It hasn't gotten below zero yet, but so far, they come right on in the cold. They're plenty bright -- as bright as the old ones (but you know, I want to do brain surgery in the garage so it's never quite bright enough :).)

(Only downside would be that they're _so_ lightweight, you have to arrange them just so to hang straight from the included chain -- they weigh probably 10-15% of the old steel + fluorescent bulb fixture.)

So, if they actually last >=3 years from now, and light up in all weather, I will definitely given them 5 stars.

Mr. John: Easy to install but would not work when plugged together.

Trent: These are easy to hang, and easy to link. They are super bright, and in the cool range. Light, plastic, and not something that will shatter.

Lights are not replaceable, so they are a one and done if it breaks. Potentially a lot of plastic waste if they die out in a few months or a year.

I do like that they have a top cover to help reflect some light. I chose to go with two of these, at a big higher price, over four others at a similar price, but without a cover. I think the cover helps direct more light.

I thought I might need to buy two more to get more coverage, but these two cover half of a one-ish car garage style wood shop shop really well. I already had the other half covered, so I didn't need more. If you have a one-ish sized garage, and need a ton of light, I suggest four of them.
