Nate Christie: This book is very helpful, and it's especially useful if you have wood, nails, tools, etc. already in your garage or elsewhere. I found myself staring at a pile of scrap/excess lumber in my garage wondering what to do with it, and this book gives you tons of inspiration for how to spend those nice weather weekends. I'd recommend supplementing with youtube or a skilled friend when needed, but this will get you most of the way for almost everything in here.

bakardis: I bought this book as a gift for my friends that recently bought a property and want to build their own homestead.
It's loaded with great step by step projects and detailed photos. I believe it's going to be a great help to them.

The only minus is the apparent carelessness of Amazon workers that are packing these packages. The book is a paperback and I received mine with back cover slightly torn close to spine on both top and and bottom. The front cover was lightly bent as well.
As a person that cares for my books, I find this unacceptable. I did fix it with a bit of a clear tape, but I shouldn't need to do this to a brand new item. If I wasn't gifting this and had more time, I would have returned it and ordered a new one.

I still think it shouldn't affect the rating of this great book, and it rightfully deserves 5 stars!

Bettybakebake: Great on building stuff but no tech knowledge regarding harnessing wind, solar etc. He repeatedly says to go get some info at community center or somewhere.
I bought the book specifically for solar, electrical and plumbing set ups. It's a great book for building garden boxes and sheds and coops but no info on setting up some solar panels to provide lights and energy to those sheds.
I know there is formula to build gradient watering system, the correct angle and differences for size. Not in there.
So if you need building plans, using new materials, for your backyard then this is the book for you.
It was an easy read. He writes in a fun and easy going way.
How to build a raised garden bed with a drainage hole are written in excruciating detail.

leila lima: É um livro com vários projetos. Infelizmente no Brasil não há a facilidade de se comprar 90% dos materiais para se fazer muitas das coisas descritas lá. Exemplo: como fazer sementeiras se aqui nao se vende os moldes em metal para se prensar as mesmas? Mas dá pra se aproveitar algumas ideias.

Hust13r: Estamos hablando de un libro con mas de 1.5K opiniones y muchas buenas. De la editoral Creative Homeowner (tendré en torno a 15 libros de la misma). Después de un tiempo en la lista de deseos me decidí a comprarlo. Mi opinión personal es que es un libro de proyectos sencillos que no está mal pero no es nada de otro mundo. Para los que saben poco de madera o apenas tienen literatura sobre trabajos en madera, no es una mala elección. Pero siendo sincero, creo que los proyectos que se describen aquí son básicos. Teniendolo sé que no necesitaba comprarlo, ahora queda en mi librería, pero apenas lo voy a consultar.
