Wilkyn R: It cover well the windows but I waisted too much of the plastic trying to make it fit by following the instruction saw on the listing video, mostly It does requires to seal air filtering spots with others products before to use it, good quality, ease of removal, Value for money it's ok.

Pcbuyer: Such a simple, yet effective, solution to draughty windows. Very easy to fit. Had air leaking through large front window causing living room to be cold. Instantly fixed on attaching this. Very impressed and £100s cheaper than buying a new windows

Linneaann: I've used this weatherproofing kit on our outer windows for at least the last 20-25 years. Our house was built in 1884 and breathes through the walls and windows each winter. This winterizing kit for windows makes a huge difference in our natural gas bill and the comfort of our house. It's fairly easy to apply once you've read the directions. I buy an extra roll of tape along with the kit to make double rows of tape so that there is enough to hold it on tightly. I learned that lesson the first year I used it. Also, you really do need to clean the surface well before applying it to make sure it stays on during Noreasters! Once you've applied it, the blow dryer should get rid of any wrinkles. I use prepackaged alcohol prep wipes to get all the dirt and oils off the surface before applying the tape. It doesn't cost much but I think of it as insurance to make sure it lasts through the winter. You should clean the outer glass panes before applying so you don't have to look through dirty windows all winter. I absolutely love this product and wouldn't go thru the winter without it.

Koala lover: Quality control miss… luckily we had some leftover tape from a previous purchase to apply the window film. Last beautiful day for a while to get our project done.

Sandra Brabant: I have a window in my shower so I needed to find a way to increase its energy efficiency. This film work well. It seemed stronger than one I had used indoors and the adhesive was stronger as well. Of course it is always tricky to use any window film by yourself as it can be difficult to handle. In general, I would recommend this product.

@>=-*-=<@: Update: Downgrading the rating by 1/2*, one year later: on one of the windows it cracked for no obvious reason.
Having read many reviews I figured that some users had failures due to overall lack of understanding. Decided to try this product before trying more expensive options. Glad that I did.
First, I cleaned the vinyl frame with Windex. The weather was sunny, 80 degrees, no wind. The 3M sticker adhered to the vinyl well enough. It could be peeled and adjusted as long as I did not press it in. Once I pressed it with my thumb it was stuck for good. The protective paper was very easy to remove (contrary to some reviews). The film was easy to apply even though I worked alone.
The process is: apply all 4 sides, peel the top, apply the film leaving 1/8" or less margin, peel 1 side, apply leaving 1/2" margin, apply the other side leaving some margin, peel the bottom and apply. Then use an exacto or round knife to trim the margins (I used the round knife).
The film is not too easy to rip (contrary to some reviews).
Once heated with a hair dryer, on High, from 2" distance, for about 2-3 seconds per 3x3" area, it shrinks. Overall, it took me less than 1 min to shrink...

Judith M. Russell: Oct 2019: Purchased this product to cover large screens for older, larger condo insulated windows (30" x 50"). Was a little surprised that these were not heat the shrink type that I've used before for interiors. But the product was easy to install (took me about 15 minutes per screen), was easily able to stretch out wrinkles, and no problems unfolding / peeling the plastic open. There was actually enough double sided tape for 3 of my windows, plastic covered two. I've got some larger windows still to do, had to buy one pack for each of those, using the plastic sideways.
I did my best to secure the tape to window (pressed around the screen frame with my thumb several times) and similarly the plastic once it was affixed to the tape. If it holds up, should do a good job creating a second vapor barrier and cutting down on drafts.
May 2020: Removed the plastic this afternoon. First, all six plastic sheets were intact after a New England winter. Second, plastic removal was beyond simple - the plastic peeled away from the tape easily. The tape needed a little encouragement but by and large came off the aluminum frame in one piece and with no sticky residue. I'm a little...

C. A. Davis: This will be my second winter installing these things. Note there are films you apply to the exterior of the window and films you apply to the exterior. These go on the EXTERIOR. I have small children and don't want them fiddling with the films and i worried about interior films fitting under my Venetian blinds. I prepared for these to be a major pain in the posterior to install and braced myself for hours of the film folding over on itself and working out creases. Boy was I wrong. It actually wasn't all that bad. I covered nine windows in about an hour or so. If there is a glaring crease, it is easy enough to pull the film off of the tape and straighten it out. They held up from early November to May with no punctures or tears. It has the pliability of saran wrap (it stretches) but is not adhesive so it doesn't get stuck to itself. You are not supposed to install them if it is below a certain temperature outside (I think 50 F), so don't procrastinate. I don't know what happens if it's too cold--I'm guessing the adhesive doesn't adhere as well. They tear off in one easy piece in when you are ready to take them down but the double-sided tape will stay attached to your house. I...
