anniehall: My 8 year old grandson is a hesitant reader. He’s struggled with reading in school, therefore avoids leisure reading like the plague. This book captured his attention! He dove right in and read it cover to cover!

Amazon Customer: Can't really help on this as it was a present to my grand-son. Unfortunately, due to lockdown, I haven't seen him to gain his comments.

Lauren VanderEspt: I bought this book for my nephew, and while I haven’t given it to him yet, I think he’s going to love it. It’s pretty simply written - he’s about to be 8, so second or third grade, but he reads on a fourth or fifth grade level, so it shouldn’t be a problem. My mom, who was an elementary school teacher for 30+ years, says that vocabulary wise it’s probably at least a third grade level, but writing wise it’s closer to a second grade level (simple sentences, bigger words). Either way, I think it’s a great book for kids in third-ish grade, especially those who are interested in gross things
