EduwigesEduwiges: I got these a while back. I love the way it works. Today 1/28/23 I noticed that the restroom sink was not draining. I pulled one out from under the sink. Pushed it into the sink opening. Turned it a few times and pulled it back out. It pulled out a bunch of hair and gunk. You can see it all on my picture. Yuck

The water started draining. It all took less that maybe two minutes. Wow!! I’m so glad I have them.

lauren: Came as expected, flattened and straightened under text books.
All 3 red drain snakes were included.
Only inserted as far as it would allow
(5 inches from excessive long hair and dog hair) just a few twists and pulled trying not to over do it or break it and after a few goes emptied out the drain!
None were broken, just rinse off, use a glove or brush to empty and use again!
Would recommend, just be careful and patient, very fast results, now using a drain catcher to use this less! Thankyou.

SMACKDOWN: I’d recommend this for all homes , after your done I’d buy a drain catcher for all showers to prevent hair from clogging in future, especially when you have girls in house with long hair. I bought the Shark tank drain catchers from Amazon. Work very well

Cherie: I think this is a good device for clogs right under drain, prob not gonna help with anything beyond that or in that p-trap or whatever it is called because of the sharp angle the drain makes just several inches back. (Sorry don’t know all the lingo). I’m referring to tub drain. I also think you need to remove the drain cover before using. Mine comes off easily with a flat-head screwdriver. I agree to go slowly and gently so as to not make chances of breaking teeth or main shaft any higher. I could see how the teeth could break without much trouble if they were to hang on something. That said, it does allow you to grab stuff you can’t get with, say, tweezers or a couple of skewers. I use a plastic hair catcher on top of my permanent drain cover and still grabbed a wad of hair. However, I think the wad I grabbed was part of or attached to the real problem, which is prob near that trap. And when I pulled out what this grabbed, it just have moved something else. I’m afraid if I take off the panel with the lever-stopper that I won’t get it back in, but am guessing that would be the route needed. Since this one is a few inches longer than some others, I wonder if someone with...

Linda D. Hardy: I read other reviews of this product. There were a lot of negative ones, and I worried that I was buying a piece of junk. It is NOT junk: it did move fairly easily through the curvy parts of the drain and I was able to push it in down to the finger pull. It did NOT break in the pipe; true, there was nothing in my drain to break on, but it seemed strong enough to be able to pull something out [if I'd had anything to pull]. One negative thing: I did try to twist it in the drain and it did not twist . . . or, at least, I did not have the hand strength to twist it.
My clog was MUCH further down, but that is not the fault of the tool. I think it's worth a try.

Amazon Customer: I have long hair so my shower drain is always getting clogged. Bought these on a whim, since I don’t like using chemical draino type products. It didn’t work in the bathroom sink, sadly, but WOW it worked amazing on my shower drain! I couldn’t believe how gross it was, with all that hair that got pulled up and out.
