These filters are as advertised and seem to work well. The larger surface area provided by a 2" filter means that they don't need to be changed as often as equivalent 1" filters, but remember to check them occasionally, especially during times of the year when you are using your heat or AC a lot.

I've been using the Nordic Pure filters in one capacity or another for probably at least six years. First, the MERV 13 then down to MERV 12 when I decided my furnace blower was working a bit too hard. We love them. They do a great job controlling dust and allergens, and with the carbon, help to keep down on cooking and pet odors.
I remember when these were closer to $36 per 3-pack. Now at $50 I can't help but feel that the company is taking advantage of greedflation to increase profits. There's no way the raw materials increased by 38%, and I highly doubt they have given anyone 38% raises. It's just frustrating to have yet another household necessity become the victim of greed.

Immediately noticed a difference after I switched the filter from merv 8 to nordic pure merv 13. Since my furnace is rated merv 11, I've just been using this in the summer to clean the air which has come in handy for wildfire smoke.
Highly recommend although pricey. Hopefully Nordic Pure can set up a more regular cheaper Canadian warehouse.
