ServTechServTech: Purchased this to cut 1/2 abs pipe in a hard to reach area it broke before getting 1/4 of the way through the pipe, I would not recommend this product due to quality of materials used The handles were comfortable and it did cut into the abs and then it broke !

R M: Must have for any big game hunter. These are well built and fit nicely in your hunting pack. They are a tid bit difficult to clean.

Dr. P: I purchased this cable saw for cutting plastic pipe. I also used it for plastic ductwork in my automobile, saved me hours of work. It worked perfectly and will probably work for many years.

Pinstriper: This is a very aggressive wire saw, and I trial zipped my way through a 3" limb in no time.

The handles are large and spread the load in your hand unlike rings or thin straps/loops. That means a) it won't pack as compactly, but b) will be easier to use, if the plastic handle holds up well. Time will tell.
