Get ready to take your cycling to the next level with the sixthreezero Body Ease tricycle!EngrBillEngrBill: The trike came in a large cardboard carton. The two major pieces were the front bike assembly and the rear (2) wheel subframe assembly. The company describes the bike as 80% assembled. Working carefully I found that the basic assembly took about two hours. I used my own wrenches, socket set, and hex drivers rather than the tools supplied and that speeded things up I think. One nice thing is that the company supplies a bag with an extra0 complete set of nuts, bolts and washers. The instruction booklet was mostly pictures, quite good, and covered the basics. After assembly I spent at least another two hours adjusting the wheel axles & bearing preset, brakes and deraileer. I'm not a bike geek but I have good mechanical skills. The only real problem for me is that both the front and rear hub inner nuts were not pre-assembled (they came loose on the axle) and there is a very special wrench needed to (properly) set the bearing preload on the inside of the hub. I have a garage full of tools but nothing to tighten that inner nut. Standard wrenches are too thick. I did a McGiver with a pair of pliars but I'm going to take the trike to a real bike mechanic to do this part again,...

Darrell R.Darrell R.: It took me a little while (4 hours) to complete the assembly because I wanted to go slow and I also added other accessories that were delivered just after the Tricycle and I wanted to install those as well. I upgraded the seat with a larger one with a backrest and added 3 flags, a headlight, a taillight and side mounted rear view mirrors. Even though they could improve the assembly instructions to be much better then the “picture only” type that is provided it still works and is not very difficult to figure out. Some other reviewers stated that the seat would not tighten well no matter how much they tried. Easy solution is to not consider using the basic tools provided at all (pretty much worthless) and instead use your own sockets, screwdrivers and wrenches. If you do you will have no problems with assembly at all. Another point people mentioned in other reviews is deficiencies with the rear basket. Yes, they are correct. It is light weight and does not stay together well using the tin clamps they provide. That is something the manufacturer should improve on if for no other reason because this tricycle cost a few hundred dollars more then a few of the others that are reviewed...

Andy: I bought this trike as a gift for my elderly mother and she loves it.
The trike itself is the quality I expected for the price. It operates as it should once all of the proper adjustments have been made, which is why I gave the trike 4 stars overall.
If you do not have experience with bicycle assembly and repair or are not mechanically inclined, I do not recommend you try and tackle this assembly. I am an intermediate to advanced bicycle mechanic. It took me a total of 5 hours to build this trike and get it operating properly. I gave the assembly rating 2 stars thinking of those who are not mechanically inclined. The tool that was included to build the bike went from the box straight to the trash. The assembly instructions are easy to interpret if you've built a bike before but the steps are out of order in my opinion. For example, it was easier to install the rear fenders before installing the rear wheels, not after. If you don't own a sturdy bicycle repair stand, getting the rear axle assembly attached to the frame would be quite a challenge. All three wheels were out of true and the drive gear on the rear axle was badly bent. Fortunately I know how to remedy those...
