AmberAmber: Absolutely worth buying!!! I am not knowledgeable when it comes to handling sink/drain clogs but this was super easy to use and very effective, fixed my super clogged sink! Saved me the cost of paying a plumber to come out and do it, it was quite satisfying as well. It did take some getting used to, to figure out the easiest/best way to snake it down, but once you get the hang of it, it's easy peasy. VERY gross though, I will say that! 🥲 I pulled 3-4 good sized clumps of hair and sludge out before it finally cleared it up entirely.. thinking of shaving my head now at this point, hahaha. But I highly recommend giving this product a try if you'd got a clog that you can't clear out easily before calling a professional! 10/10 do recommend.

Justin Pinkard: I'm very confused on the negative reviews.
It is easy to use. There is a video on the product site on Amazon showing how to use it.
Takes minimum strength. The only time it is slightly difficult is pushing the line past a L joint on the initial turn or through a clog, and maybe pulling it out on the same spot. If it gets stuck and is too hard for you, spin to win, it will free it up.
I haven't use any other brand's product. So I can't compare it to anything else.
I used it to unclog the bathroom sink and then I did my kitchen sink. Plumber wanted to charge 150 just to come out. So for 28 dollars, I'd say that's a deal to clean out both.

LaurelLaurel: If I could choose one tool as a homeowner to recommend is a drain auger. This small device save me probably hundreds of dollars and time. It fits down in your drain and using 5 or 6 inches at a time turns drown, deep in your drain, to reach clogged hair and crap that has built up over time. It hooks onto the clog with the larger coil at the end of the auger and tangles it up to pull it up and out of the drain. It is truly surprising what is pulled up from your drain. It looked like a large rat that had came up from deep inside. A must for anyone and everyone.

Joyce F.: I was impressed by the quality of the metal auger and it worked perfectly until I realized that the whole 25' had gone out. When you are feeding 4 - 6 inches at a time into your drain, it's easy to not realize how much has been fed down the drain. When turning the handle did not feed or retract the line I realized that I had come to the end of the line. I removed all six screws from the case and it looked like the end had just been in the handle. When I tried to put it back in the handle, it kept coiling up on me and refused to latch onto the handle. After messing around for about an hour with it, I finally just screwed the case back together and started shoving the line back into the case. So now I can't use the handle anymore to feed or retract the line but at least I can store the line in the case. The line needs to be secured to the handle better and it would really help if they painted a red line at the 3' mark so you know that you are coming to the end of the line before you pull it out of the handle.

Amberthyst: After having a clogged kitchen sink for about a week and finding out our plumber wasn't going to be able to come by for at least another week, I decided to spend the money and try this solution. I was skeptical that this wouldn't work, considering the price was pretty low - $32 compared to the price of a plumber seemed too good to be true.

I am SO GLAD I went for it. It came within 24 hours and was so easy to use. We had taken apart the drain under the kitchen sink so we knew the blockage was further down than the U pipe under the counter. It takes a little patience while "feeling" around as you feed the auger into the pipe. It is MUCH easier to use with two people, but you can definitely do it solo. Have a bucket ready underneath the drain because chances are you're going to pull out something that smells like the epitome of death. The mass of hair and trash inside the pipe that popped out had such a foul odor it gave us goosebumps. This tool is a life saver, and I can't believe a simpleton like me can purchase and successfully use a product like this.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Great DIY solution for a simple problem, and the product is quite substantial in quality.

Ken Crooks Junior: This auger saved me from calling in a plumber to clear a clog in my kitchen sink drain. I had a solid blockage about 15 feet into the drain pipe that liquid drain cleaners would not unclog. I ran the snake through the pipe and when it hit the blockage I could tell that it was a serious clog, it was not easy getting the snake through the clog but persistence paid off and an hour later the water was flowing through the pipe great again.
The one downside to most of these little drain augers is the miserable little thumbscrew, I don't know why they don't want to put a better locking mechanism on these augers, even a larger plastic knob instead of a small little metal thumb screw would be an improvement, especially during times when you need to run long lengths through a pipe because you are constantly turning that little bugger.
Keep grease out of your drains, coffee grains are also bad, I now use sink strainers and they help but you will still need to do some maintenance every now and again.
